Name: Yūrei Undō : Ghost Motion Rank: E - A Type: Kugujutsu Element:N/A Range:Varies by level Handseals: N/A, however the user must gesture with their hands and/or fingers in subtle or dramatic manner to control their chakra strings. Speed: Varies Description: Users of Ghost Motion practice a technique very similar to Puppetry, however their talent is less refined. While they are able to attach their chakra strings to objects and control them from a distance, Ghost Motion lacks the precision that allows a true puppet user to work the delicate latches, levers, and switches that activate hidden weapons. Instead they are able to only move items through space, and control the manner in which they move. This means that while they can not construct and operate deadly puppets, they are able to lift a kunai, and slash, slice, and stab victims with it from considerable range. Of course, this is not the only application, but is often the starting point of clan members training with this closely guarded clan secret.
The rules for Ghost Motion follow similar rules to the Kugujutsu skill, but has noticeable advantages and disadvantages to it's better known counterpoint. The largest disadvantage is that a user of Ghost Motion may not use their skill to operate a puppet of any rank. Each rank provides a number of Chakra Strings the user can make use of, and defines how much each string can lift and control, and how fast they can move each item. While incapable of the fine control of true puppetry, Ghost Motion is eventually capable of controlling a wider variety of objects, and much heavier weights.
Because victims can move, struggle, and otherwise resist the effect of the Ghost Motion, strings may not be attached to unwilling humans or equipment they are holding on to. String attachment is nearly instant at up to maximum range. Ghost Motion may be used to intercept thrown weapons and projectiles, however twice the normal strings for the item's weight are needed to deflect, or three times the normal strings to catch and control an object thrown or shot at the user. Once fully under the control of Ghost Motion, excess strings may be detached at will. Of course, the user must be aware of these objects, and be able to see them. No user of Ghost Motion may attach strings to them selves and fly with them. That's not how physics works. Moving a living human with Ghost Motions requires concentration. Due to the moving parts and shifting weight in travel, living humans are moved at -15 speed skill no matter how many strings are attached.
Yūrei Undō is not a jutsu in itself, so much as a different way to use an already existing skill. In order to make use of Ghost Motion, the character must purchase the Kugujutsu skill as if they were a puppet user. Instead of using the listed abilities under the Kugujutsu skill, the table below is used to determine what the skill does, and how it may be used. No user of Ghost Motion is able to use their skill to also manipulate the inner workings of a puppet, nor may a standard puppet user make use of Ghost Motion. Like anything else, this skill can be taught to others, however the Yūrei Te will always refuse to teach it to someone outside of the clan.
0: Range 5m. You have no training in this skill and can only use E ranked jutsu. You have access to one chakra string which costs double the normal chakra. 1: Range 10m. You have acquired some training in Yūrei Undō and you're now able to use E and D and Kugujutsu techniques. With your chakra control having improved you no longer pay double the normal chakra but instead just pay the normal chakra amount for Kugujutsu techniques. You are able to use 3 chakra strings, and each string is capable of lifting 5 pounds. 2: Range 25m. Your training in Yūrei Undō has increased some more and you're now able to use E, D and C ranked Kugujutsu techniques. With some more chakra control improvement you now pay 10% less chakra for Kugujutsu techniques. You now may use 6 chakra strings, and each string is able to lift 5 pounds. Each additional chakra string attached to an item above it's weight allows the object to be moved at +1 speed skill. For example, if 2 strings were attached to a 5 pound knife, one additional string is being used and the object may move at +1 speed. 3: Range 50m. Your skills in Yūrei Undō have become noticeably strong with the amount of training you've put in so far. E, D, C, and B ranked Kugujutsu techniques are now available to you. With your better chakra control your Kugujutsu techniques now gain a 20% Chakra discount. You are able to use 18 Chakra strings, and each string is capable of lifting 10 pounds. Each string attached to an object above it's weight allows you to move the object at +1 speed skill. For example, if 2 strings were attached to an item that weighed 8 pounds, one additional string is being used, and it would be able to move at +1 speed. 4: Range 75m. With this level of skill in Yūrei Undō many know to fear you. By now you're able to use E, D, C, B and even A ranked Kugujutsu techniques without a problem. In fact, with your great chakra control your Kugujutsu techniques gain a 30% Chakra discount. You are able to use up to 30 chakra strings and each string is able to lift 20 pounds. Each string attached to an object above its weight allows you to move the object at +2 speed skill.

Name: Body Replacement Technique Rank: E-rank Type: Ninjutsu Element: None Range: Mid (7m) Handseals: Tiger → Boar → Ox → Dog → Snake Description: With this technique, users replace their own body with some other object, generally with a block of wood, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. It's a basic ninjutsu even taught at the Academy, but it's a useful art that can be applied in variety of situations.
Name: Cloak of Invisibility Technique Rank: E-rank Type: Ninjutsu Element: None Range: Close Description: This technique allows a ninja to take a cloak or a piece of cloth to blend into an object, making them invisible.
Name: Clone Technique Rank: E-rank Type: Ninjutsu Element: None Range: Clone can travel up to 10m from user Handseals: Ram → Snake → Tiger Speed: Clones move at same speed as user Description: A ninjutsu that creates an intangible copy of one's own body, without any substance. Since the clone itself doesn't have the ability to attack, and thus can only be used to confuse the enemy, it is mainly used in combination with other ninjutsu. It's a basic technique, but depending on one's ingenuity, it can be used effectively. The clones may not dissipate when they come into contact with something. These clones can be easily distinguished by persons with dōjutsu. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones do not have shadows and will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (i.e. won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.).
Name: Rope Escape Technique Rank: E-rank Type: Ninjutsu Element: None Range: Close Description: A basic technique taught at the Academy. It allows a ninja to free themselves if they have been tied up. How this is done is unknown.
Name: Transformation Technique Rank: E-rank Type: Ninjutsu Element: None Range: Close Handseals: Dog → Boar → Ram Description: Given all the missions ninja are assigned to - battle, intelligence gathering, diversions - this is a priceless ninjutsu. It is typically used to change into people other than oneself, but one also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons. This gives this technique an abundance of uses. The transformation of a skilled shinobi will be exactly like the genuine article, so it will be impossible to tell the two apart. On the other hand, a transformation performed by an inexperienced person will have obvious discrepancies. It will be impossible to deceive anyone with it. This is one of the most basic ninjutsu, as such most shinobi know how to perform it. The transformation technique is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques, since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. On top of that, the user would be, most likely, interacting with the environment. This puts mental strain on an inexperienced ninja. Thus the best way to determine if it is indeed a transformation is to cause this strain upon the user; though this is of course not always successful.
Name: Tree Climbing Practice Rank: E-rank Type: Ninjutsu Element: None Range: Close Description: Tree Climbing Practice is a training method used to gain more skills with chakra control. This training involves focusing a fixed amount of chakra to the bottom of one's feet, and using that to climb a tree without using one's hands. If the stream of chakra is too weak, the user will lose their footing on the tree and fall off. If it is too strong, the user will be pushed away from the tree, causing the tree to break around the point of contact and the user will fall.
Name: Water Surface Walking Practice Rank: E-rank Type: Ninjutsu Element: None Range: Close Description: This training method is used to gain better chakra control. To do this, the user has to be emitting a constant stream of chakra from the bottom of their feet and using the repellent force to walk across the water's surface. This technique is more difficult to master than the Tree Climbing Practice, because the amount of chakra that needs to be emitted changes constantly. It has also been shown that one can use their chakra to "skate" across the water surface, like an ice skater, instead of just walking or running. It is noted, that shinobi reach a state where they stand on water without even noticing it or basically even trying.

Name: Body Flicker Technique Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Element: N/a Range: - Handseals: Ram Speed: Boosts user's Speed by 30 Description: The Body Flicker Technique is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination. (May not initiate an attack until the next post. This applies to all techniques akin to this jutsu.)
Name: Kai ~ Release Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Element: N/A Range: Close Description: Kai is a Ninjutsu which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed handseals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.
Name: Summoning Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Element: N/A Range: Short Handseals: Boar → Dog → Bird → Monkey → Ram Description: Before an animal summoning can be performed, a prospective summoner must first sign a contract with a given species. The contract comes in the form of a scroll, on which the contractor uses their own blood to sign their name and place their fingerprints and once signed it is valid even after the contractors death as long as the contract itself remains intact. After this, they need only offer an additional donation of blood on the hand they signed the contract with, mould their chakra with hand seals and then plant the hand they signed the contract with at the location they wish to summon the creature. The amount of chakra used during the summoning determines how powerful the summoned creature can be. It is possible for a summoner to summon a group of the same contracted animal, as opposed to a single individual.
Name: Scent of Sweet Flowers Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Element: N/A Range: Self Handseals: Boar – Dog – Ram Description: Once enacted this creates a sweet smell that varies with each use. It always smells like a flower, however the type in question is random and typically similar to local flora. This scent covers her natural scent perfectly, making tracking through a smell a more difficult process.

Name: Generic Sealing/Unsealing Technique Rank: D Type: Fuuinjutsu Element: - Range: Close Description: With this technique the user is able to store a variety objects or jutsu within a scroll or other surfaces with the seal inscribed, depending on the user's skill with Fuuinjutsu. While sealing an object takes a considerable amount of concentration for those unskilled with Fuuinjutsu, unsealing an object is simple enough and can be performed on the fly so long as the symbol is accessible to the user and thus making it possible to unseal a weapon in the midst of battle. Sealing in battle, however, is not possible for those who are unskilled in Fuuinjutsu.
~C-rank~ Name: Secret Marks Storage Seal Rank: C Type: Fuuinjutsu Element: N/A Range: Touch Handseals: N/A Description: This seal acts as a smaller version of a traditional scroll storage seal, and may only be used to store 6 items as large as a kunai, 2 items as large as a short sword, or a single item as large as a long sword. Once the seal is placed and the items stored within, this seal becomes no smaller than a black dot and can be hidden anywhere on the body. Akemi typically places her seal on the inside of her left hand, just below her thumb.
Name: Pit Trap Seal Rank: C Type: Fuuinjutsu Element: N/A Range: N/A Handseals: N/A Description: This seal requires a medium sized seal to be drawn on open ground of any type, but may not be placed on surfaces constructed my humans. This can be used on any natural ground be it sand, dirt, grass or stone, Once placed the seal activates itself and seals a volume beneath it that is a cylinder 15 meters across and 30 meters deep. The chakra in the seal allows this pit to retain its shape, and holds a 1 centimeter thick surface at the top to hide the trap. Only a few pounds of weight are required to break the seal at the top, and send anyone standing above falling into the pit. Should the pit be constructed of something like sand or very loose dirt, it is likely to cave in upon anyone who happens to be inside of it.

Name: Dancing Ghost Blades Rank: C Type Kugujutsu Element: N/A Range: 0-15m Handseals: N/A, Gestures required to control chakra strings. Speed: +10 Description: One of the first and most vital techniques learned by adepts of Ghost Motion, this technique enables the use of a pair of blades in combat. The weapon of choice for the Yūrei Te is the scimitar, however any sword may be used in its place. This technique requires two swords, and each one is linked by all of the chakra strings coming from each hand. The blades will then be under the users control and can be moved around at will. While using this technique the user has their speed increased with each weapon by 10. This is a favored technique by the Ghost Hand for it's versatility, quickness, and ability to strike from unexpected angles.
Name: Four Dancing Ghost Blades Rank: B Type: Kugujutsu Element: N/A Range:0 - 25m Handseals: N/A, the user must gesture with hands or fingers in subtle or dramatic ways to control the blades. Description: A more advanced fighting style for those practiced in Ghost Motion, this technique enables the use of a four blades in combat. The weapon of choice for the Yūrei Te is the scimitar, however any sword may be used in its place. This technique requires two swords, and each one is linked by half of the chakra strings coming from each hand. The blades will then be under the users control and can be moved around at will. While using this technique the user has their speed increased with each weapon by 10. This is a favored technique by the Ghost Hand for it's versatility, quickness, and ability to strike from unexpected angles. .
