The sky was still very dark in the village of Kirigakure, the ever present haze hanging in the air. Birds had just begun to begin their day, as the nocturnal animals of the night retired for the day. The sun had yet to rise to offer its partial rays to warm the village, the time being around 5:00 am. So naturally there was an early morning chill in the air, not quite freezing but it commanded the need for a jacket. There was no wild wind to speak of, only the slight breeze the early morning brought. The wind gently caressing the trees joined in the chorus of the early birds, giving off a low hiss as the leaves on the trees danced.

The streets were relatively empty, most of the village either sleep or relocated due to the recent Mizukage's orders. Only those brave enough to stand their ground, refusing to be moved from the only place they call home, still remained within the Kirigakure. One such individual dashed through the empty streets of Kirigakure, an easy task considering the mass decrease in the village population. He wore the garb of a shinobi, his headband reflecting the lights from the street lights as he passed them. His breathing was heavy and labored, but the shinobi pressed on without so much as slowing his pace in the least. In either hand was a single letter, both of which carrying the Mizukage seal and the seal of the Water Daimyo. Though within their own village, the messenger did his utmost to conceal the seals. This was Kirigakure, after all.

The messenger continued on his route until he reached the only house in the village that was furthest away from the village entrance. In the more dangerous and part of the village where usually gangs lingered to prey upon the uninitiated. However, even these numbers had dwindled so much due to the evacuation that only a few small time punks remained; all of whom were wise enough or to cowardly to challenge a trained shinobi. With no interruptions or detours, the messenger arrived at the home of the "Black Lion" as he's called. Raionhato Gambaldi, one of the only recently returned Jounin since the villages recent decline in power.

His home sat is the stark contrast to the immediate surroundings. Where most homes looked worn, torn, and graffiti all over it; Gambaldi's home was in great condition. Even in his absence, his home remained the only one untouched by surrounding blight. Many speculated that it was because the shinobi had grew up amongst these people, history as a slave in his childhood hardly being a secret. Others simply believed that the man himself simply inspired that much fear and, in equal measure, respect. Whatever the reason, the home Raionhato Gambaldi was always spared by the local criminals and stood as the only piece of unblemished land in the area.

The messenger approached the home of Gambaldi, the walking path situated between a small pond with coy fish to the left and mini training area with only a single half-beaten up wooden post in its center. The front yard alone being comparable in size to half a football field.  The home itself was ten yards smaller than the entire length of the front yard and was centered perfectly within it. The home itself carried a traditional air about it due to the traditional Japanese decor, even the doors were replaced with sliding ones. "Lord Raionhato," the messenger finally spoke as he reached the front steps, "I have a message for you. You and another will be leaving immediately to assist the Daimyo."

Gambaldi, sitting just on the other side of the sliding door parallel to the front steps, exhaled smoke as his half opened eyes danced toward the direction of the messenger's voice. "You realize I have quite literally just returned home," he said, his deep tone of voice resounding loud enough for just the messenger to hear. "The Mizukage cannot turn down a request from the Daimyo. Not even the council had dared to be even that brazen," the messenger replied plainly, "Besides, the Daimyo has asked for you specifically. I was ordered to bring you this message, just in case you needed more incentive."

There was a brief pause after the messenger's statement before the massive shinobi slide open the sliding door. Almost immediately the strong scent from the cannabis hit the messenger, though the messenger hardly batted an eyelid. Gambaldi, dressed in only his dark blue robes that was tied closed at the waist by a black belt of similar soft fabric, his normal attire when he was in his home. Between his lips was the source of the scent, still lit as he took a puff and exhaled smoke without so much as moving either of his hands to keep the thick joint in place. The messenger handed the man the letter and made a single hand seal. "Wait," Gambaldi said before the man could vanish, "Who else was chosen for this mission." The messenger, rather than answer, simply vanished in a puff of smoke to deliver the other letter.

Gambaldi shook his head as he went back into his home, breaking the two seals on the one letter. His greyish-green eyes scanned the paper being held in his left hand, his right reaching for his joint to put it out inside the nearby ashtray on small table near the front door. "I see," he said finally as he frowned and crumbled the paper, "So that fool was Don Sanada's little brother. I suppose I should reunite the family, then." Gambaldi walked toward his room and put on a traditional ninja gi, all black of course. The entire time while doing so, his mind drifted to the ambush that killed his brother and the traitor from Kirigakure that was involved.

The traitor, unfortunately, also had a big brother who was looking to make Gambaldi pay. This same big brother was none other than Don Sanada himself. This added bit of information had come from the Mizukage and specifically stated that only himself, Gambaldi, and whoever this Nanashi was are to know of this. It was just a rather amazing coincidence that the Daimyo wanted the man gone too. Gambaldi, after preparing all his things, left his home once again in service to Kirigakure. The letter order that he and his partner meet at the entrance gate to the village. From there the two were on their own in terms of how they would bring down the Land of Water's largest crime family. "This kid better not slow me down," he thought to himself.

Navigating his way through the quiet streets of Kirigakure, with only a slight glow from the haze above to signify that the sun was only just beginning to rise. Gambaldi would find himself arriving first 20 minutes ahead of schedule. Having a little extra time, Gambaldi began to roll up a few joints for the trip. Some how he had a feeling that he wouldn't be getting as much down time later on. Hopefully whoever this Nanashi was wouldn't mind the smell, if not he'd simply have to learn to.

Missions:
Another day spent training and another night consumed by the Emergency Room. This was the typical day-to-day lifestyle of the Kaguya doctor. There was no rest. Either he was spending his days honing his skills as a shinobi or working on healing a patient as a doctor. There was little time for sleep with this scheduled routine, but it was nothing the white haired ninja couldn’t handle.

This night was unlike others. The hospital of Kirigakure had been filled with patients entering at an extremely rapid rate. There had been many casualties in what appeared to be random acts of violence widespread throughout the lower levels of the village hidden in the mist. The Land of Water was certainly not a safe place to be roaming tonight. Many hours wasted away throughout the night as the doctors worked as hard as they could to save every life that entered the doors of the hospital.

A bloody child was one of the last patients being treated by the white haired shinobi. The kid had suffered multiple stab wounds and minor burns. After taking away the pain and ensuring the child’s survival through medical treatment, Soran was curious of how so many people got hurt. After asking a series of questions to the youth, the doctor determined that the cause for the injuries were due to the actions of the parents. It seemed that one of them owed somebody powerful a large sum of money and refused to pay up. This information infuriated the warrior. If only there were something he could do…

As his mind pondered the possibilities, he was quickly rushed to another patient by the nurses. It appeared that a messenger of Kirigakure had also become victim to these random acts of violence spreading throughout the Land of Water. It seemed that he had an important message he was trying to deliver before he was ambushed. However, he managed to save the letter and almost died trying to save whatever information was located inside.

After healing the messenger, he pleaded to the doctor to ensure the safe delivery of the letter. It was from the Daimyo, who mainly appointed important missions to the Jounin of the village. The recipient of the letter only said Nanashi, which was the universal term for a person of mysterious origins with no name or surname. Only a handful of people in the village possessed this title, and Soran was one of them. Perhaps this was related to the swarms of patients being brought to the Emergency Room. Nodding to affirm it would be taken care of, Soran took the letter and went into his office to read the contents in secrete.

It seemed that the letter was actually directed towards another Jounin, but Soran took it upon himself to claim ownership of the private document. What was done might be seen as treason to some, but he was tired of cleaning up the messes left by others. If people were going to continue bringing broken bodies to the hospital for him to fix, then the doctor would rather go to the source of the violence and put an end to it himself. The Daimyo wrote about a man named Don Sanada, who had been responsible for all these people being hurt. The Don’s motives seemed to stem from some sort of vendetta. But the results from these actions were inexcusable, especially for the doctor that had to heal all the victims.

Looking at the clock, his shift at the hospital was almost over and all the patients were in stable condition. The doctor had one last stop to attend before he could act on impulse. The child’s burns were not consistent with the timing of the stab wounds. That means that they had to happen on separate occasions. There was only one solution, to talk to the patient and find out more information. By talking with the kid, the doctor discovered that his patient had been taken to the mountains outside of the village in some sort of bunker that led inside of the mountain. That’s when a flashback struck the mind of the shinobi. The doctor had just escorted a prince of a noble family who had been kidnapped and taken to the same place less than a week ago. Soran knew exactly where to go!

All his patient could remember was a fire-type ninja spitting fire on him inside of the mountain before dragging him out and stabbing him repeatedly with a kunai. This infuriated the doctor and when he asked what he could remember about the man was his black hair and red eyes. Obvious traits of an Uchiha. The Kaguya would send his personal regards.

Going back into his office, the Jounin began untying the band with the Kirigakure insignia on it from around his waist, the ninja then placed the headband on his forehead as a symbol that he was going to accept this mission himself. The shinobi took off his hooded lab coat and black scrubs before changing into his all-black ninja attire. This was complete with a hood and cowl to conceal his identity. This outfit was designed to be fire-resistant and incredibly difficult to burn. After folding his clothing and locking the door to his office, the hooded ninja exit by using the stairs that led to the rooftop.

Analyzing the blood-soaked letter once again to see that he would have a partner with this mission. Hopefully whoever he was working with would not know that he was not meant to receive this letter. Although the Kaguya did feel more qualified than the original recipient that this letter was supposed to be delivered to. The Kirigakure records specifically list Soran as a medic of unknown origins who had become Jounin through traditional means involving his skill with Taijutsu. The village had no idea that they had a Kaguya working in their hospital who possessed the Shikotsumyaku.

Soran’s grey eyes scanned the paper in search of a rendezvous location. It instructed the two to meet at the entrance gate of the village hidden in the mist. From there the two were on their own in terms of how they would bring down the Land of Water's largest crime family. Even if the partner assigned to the original Nanashi was aware that he wasn’t supposed to receive the letter, he would be able to pass it off as an honest mistake without danger of getting into trouble for mail interception.

Colors of pink and light orange began to illuminate the sky as the sun was beginning to rise. Time couldn’t be wasted contemplating hypothetical situations. The doctor had to ensure that he would not deal with any more patients being sent to the Emergency Room by this Don Sanada. So Soran hopped from rooftop to rooftop as a shortcut to reach the gate quicker.

As the white haired ninja approached the gate, he caught a scent that was very familiar to him. It was a medicine used at the hospital known as cannabis. The cowl covered most of the smell, but the quality of the bud must have been premium for the shinobi to smell it all the way from the rooftop. Looking down, Soran spotted a lone man who was extremely tall with black hair and a muscular build. Perhaps he was the partner assigned to the letter. In either case, it would be good to have assistance in bringing these crime lords to justice.

Dropping down from the side of the building, the hooded shinobi landed a few feet from the stranger. The height difference was much more evident from ground level. The grey eyes analyzed the figure from underneath the hood and cowl. The scent coming off of him definitely proved that he was the source of the cannabis fragrance. The man was wearing a traditional black ninja gi, very similar to what Soran himself was wearing. Perhaps this was a way for the two to recognize each other as allies. Although to be on the safe side, it would probably be better to vocalize communication to avoid confusion between the two.

“Let’s go.” The hooded ninja instructed from under the cowl covering his mouth. The black hood remained over his head and all that was visible was his white hair, his cool grey eyes, and his Kirigakure headband covering his forehead. The Kaguya walked silently by the taller Jounin and out of the village gate. Now was not the time for a meet-and-greet between two trained professionals. Soran wanted to make those responsible for his patient’s injuries pay for their crimes against humanity. With the help of another it shouldn’t be too hard...

Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran]   Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran] Icon_minitimeWed Oct 21, 2015 3:30 pm

He had managed to roll up three large joints, all as thick as cigars, by the time his wait was over. The end to the wait came in the form of a much shorter white-haired shinobi, yet another young ninja Gambaldi didn't know. Almost immediately Gambaldi recalled the white-haired boy he had met upon his return to Kirigakure after almost a decade away. That boy, however, irritated Gambaldi with his nonchalant views on life. Never truly caring what others thought of him and simply existing to leave behind such pathetic legacy. Now here was yet another white-haired shinobi, though this one appeared more at the ready than the other boy. His desire to get things started right away actually impressed the not so easily impressed Gambaldi. "Perhaps this one will have a bit more personality to him," Gambaldi thought as he tucked away the four large thickly rolled joints away in his sleeve.

Without so much as a word, Gambaldi followed after the eager white haired shinobi. Almost immediately Gambaldi urged the pace to a run, leaving his partner behind if he chose not to follow suit. He made it a point to remain in the open, hoping that he catch the attention of any of the rogue shinobi in the area. Though they were still outside of Sanada's territory, Gambaldi assumed any wise leader would keep scouts in the field. It was basic strategy, after all. See the enemy before they know you see them, that way one could control at least the where an ambush takes place. An ambush being exactly what the ever calculating shinobi wants. It'd make finding Don Sanada's base of operations that much easier once the information was tortured out his henchmen.

However, Gambaldi was curious as to how his partner would approach the situation. This was his first mission in years that didn't involve just himself. In addition to that, he had yet to do a mission anyone from the younger generation of ninja. Thus far in the large shinobi's experience half of the shinobi in Kirigakure were selfish little wimps, while the other showed signs of a leader.

Gambaldi came to an immediate halt when the duo were nearing Sanada's territory. He stood effortlessly on a branch, hidden behind a bushel of leaves. He checked to make sure the coast was clear. His keen eye sight darted around and only ceased when the veteran was sure the area was clear. Only then did he finally acknowledge his partner, "I say were about a mile outside of Don Sanada's territory," he started as he folded his arms and leaned back against the main body of the tree. He reached into his sleeve left sleeve with his right and pulled out one of the joints and without brought it to his lips. With his left he patted his pockets before reaching inside it to pull out his lighter. Still in the cover of the leaves, Gambaldi flicked the lighter thrice before he was able to get the flame to stay. He promptly lit the joint and puffed it a few times before bothering to continue.

"So what's your idea," he asked plainly as his greyish green eyes looked off in the direction of his target.

Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran]   Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran] Icon_minitimeWed Oct 21, 2015 10:28 pm

Memories of the events that had taken place during the shinobi’s last mission flooded his mind like a flashback. Even though he was exhausted during the escort of the prince, he still retained a vibrant reminiscence of how everything unfolded. The white haired ninja had healed the prince the same way he would any patient before the spoiled child’s nanny decided to stick the doctor with babysitting duty. The prince had been snatched up by a crew of bandits, one of which was a rogue ninja from kirigakure. After killing the rogue and those who followed him, the warrior had gained coordinates on the location of the prince. The royal brat had been taken to a mountain with a secrete base built within it. The child that the doctor had healed earlier that night gave a vivid description that was identical to the shinobi’s memory.

Snapping back into reality, the Jounin realized that the taller man had followed him outside of the Kirigakure gate without making a sound and proceeded to move at a much faster pace. Almost instinctively, the shinobi ran behind the stranger at a steady pace. Keeping only a short distance between the two, the hooded ninja kept his eyes open to ensure that they weren’t being followed. Luckily, the country's weather was typically cool and the landscape was usually covered by mist. This made sneaking around undetected that much easier.

The two had managed to make it near their destination within an hour. The sky was still a darker shade of blue and the sun was only beginning to shine over the area. This would make sneaking around in the mist a more difficult challenge. The Jounin’s partner halted after jumping up into a nearby tree. Acting on impulse, the white haired ninja jumped on to a branch next to the taller shinobi. Soran made a point to be on a higher branch so the two would be at eye-level with each other.

As he observed the surrounding area from the viewpoint, the other shinobi stated that the two were about a mile outside of Don Sanada's territory. This seemed accurate as the two were near the same mountain that Soran had infiltrated earlier that week. The surrounding area on the outskirts of the village were very cold and in some places it would snow quite a bit. The weather didn’t bother the white haired shinobi too much, his ninja outfit kept everything warm except for his exposed hands.

A powerful fragrance suddenly struck the nostrils of the Jounin. Turning his head slightly, he watched as his partner pulled out cannabis wrapped in paper and proceeded to spark it on fire with a lighter. Normally this would give away the location of somebody hiding in a tree. However, the smoke blended with the mist perfectly and only provided the two with more cover as the man exhaled a few puffs of smoke. This was certainly nothing new for the medic. During his time in Kirigakure, the use of marijuana has been acknowledged as a medical treatment for patients of various ailments. Although the traditional way it was applied to the patient was by turning the plant into tea or adding it as an ingredient into food. The Kaguya had even tried smoking it on a prior occasion with some of the nurses at the hospital. The end result was that he was relieved of all his stress, in more ways than one.

Asking the hooded ninja what his plan was, the smoking assistant was looking off in the direction of Sanada’s territory. While his partner was distracted, the joint was gently removed from his hand while the Kaguya simultaneously removed the cowl covering his mouth. Inhaling a large amount of smoke, Soran extended his two index fingers and pointed at the closest mountaintop.

“There is a secrete bunker, hidden at the peak of that mountain, which leads to a base built within the mountain itself.” Soran explained as smoke emerged from his mouth like a dragon. Taking a couple more hits of the joint, Soran passed it back and continued with what he was saying:

“I was already here five days ago while attending to another assignment. There was some sort of underground revolution going on and I had to put a stop to it. I ended up flooding the place with poison and sealed off the escape hatch at the top of the mountain. Everybody inside should have been killed. I made sure that the only way to open the bunker was from the outside. So whoever is occupying it now has to be from a different faction. If it’s now under the influence of Don Sanada, then I guarantee that is where he is keeping his slaves before selling them off.”

While these words left the ninja’s mouth, he started to feel the beginning effects of smoking the cannabis. As a medical professional, he rarely used the substances he prescribes to patients. Although this felt like an appropriate time to remove stress, he would have to keep his wits about him. On the other hand, the marijuana was also allowing him to think abstractly and deduce the reasoning behind this territory being used again.

“The rebellion I wiped out was dedicated to kidnapping a prince I was escorting. Perhaps they weren’t only opposed to the royal hierarchy, but organized crime as well…” Soran paused as he realized that the number of patients who were the victims to rogue attacks had increased since he poisoned the base in the mountain. Could those rebels have been keeping Sanada’s influence away from the village? By killing off the rebellion, had Soran unintentionally allowed this crime lord to grow in power? So many questions were brewing in the shinobi’s head before remembering his motivation for taking this mission. But he had to stay focused and inform his partner on the dangers of this mission.

“A missing ninja is somewhere inside that base. I don’t know his name, but I am positive that he had to come from our village. He was described to me as having black hair and red eyes. So it’s safe to assume he is an Uchiha from Kirigakure who has unlocked his Sharingan. This rogue is responsible for burning and stabbing multiple victims to death. One of his victims managed to survive and give me all of this information.”  Pausing once again, the Jounin plotted his strategy for bringing the Don to them.

“My theory is that this base of operations has become a stronghold for Don Sanada and he has left that particular Uchiha in charge of his human trafficking operation. There is only one way in and one way out of that hidden lair. So if we can both get inside stealthily, I can create a diversion by challenging the Uchiha and any other rogue shinobi he may have by his side. While I am busy fighting, you can find the slaves and lead them to the escape hatch. Once word reaches Sanada that his camp of slaves has been compromised, the Don will likely want to investigate why his new slave camp has failed at containing his merchandise. Then we’ll have him exactly where we want him!”

After speaking, Soran waited patiently for a response and for the joint to get passed his way again. If his partner had any suggestions, he was open to them. The Jounin was ready to act whenever the taller shinobi was. Until then, he listened.

Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran]   Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran] Icon_minitimeThu Oct 22, 2015 7:21 pm

Gambaldi quiet listened as his comrade spoke, not flinching in the slightest at the fact the young man had taken it upon himself to hit his joint. Apparently this one was only a recent return to the village as well having just finished a mission. Gambaldi looked toward the direction the white haired shinobi pointed, scanning the area for any signs of inhabitants. With no fires to speak for nor any noticeable movements, Gambaldi began to judge the distance between where this bunker was and where Sanada territory was most heavily guarded. As he mulled over the distance and what was the best route the Don's men might take, the white haired shinobi continued.

He explained how he knew of the bunker in the mountains, a question that was only in the back of the large shinobi's mind at the moment. Still he listened while he put together a plan, a simple task for such as Gambaldi who was always thinking and calculating. The white haired shinobi had apparently been tasked with a not so routine rescue mission. To save a Prince was no small feat, in fact, it was one that likely garnered much attention in society. That was definitely a plus for Kirigakure, being viewed as a reliable and vital resource to the Land of Water.

Gambaldi allowed his partner to continue without interruption as he went on to put his theory in the open. Finally accepting the joint, after not noticing it for at least 4 seconds, Gambaldi put together all the pieces of information laid out before him. The bunker was indeed the best place to keep the slaves hidden away. The fact the entire bunker had been filled with poison gas by the white haired shinobi, then promptly seal shut, meant that some of the remaining fumes could still be present inside. If that indeed were the case then the fumes alone would keep the slaves docile, worst case being killing off some of the less healthier ones.

The thought made him close his eyes as he took a long pull of the joint. The words of his comrade began to sound only like background noise. As the smoked filled his lungs, the large shinobi held it all in as his danced off to nightmares. Gambaldi had once, himself, been a slave and knew first hand how cruel men could be. He'd seen the side of humanity that hid behind courteous smiles and kind gestures. His own parents had given him and his younger brother up just to slack the hunger of their addiction. Gambaldi had killed the man who had deemed to call himself his master, and all others like him.

He finally exhaled the smoke and came back to reality, his eyes opening though his anger was quite apparent. "No, that isn't good enough," he said with smoke still escaping from his mouth with each word, "None of them will make it out of this alive. Any one who has sided with Don Sanada has disavowed allegiance to the Land of Water. We will find this Uchiha slave master and beat the information we need out of him. Then we will burn everything he has built to the fucking ground." Gambaldi faced maintained its scowl as he spoke, though his tone was rather calm. "This world can do without men like, Don Sanada."

With that said, Gambaldi put his joint against the tree and flicked it forward. Before it was even a meter away from him, Gambaldi leaped passed it and began making his move on the bunker. Those slaves would be freed as a priority, and the Uchiha would die not long after. Traitors deserved no less than death anyway, hopefully there wouldn't be any backlash from the Uchiha. They were, after, the strongest clan within the Land of Water and the bitter rival of the revered Senju Clan. Then again having even a remote association with the Sanada Family would not be a look either. Gambaldi made it a point to remember to let the Mizukage know of this upon his return. Such information was always a useful tool when it came to politics.

Dashing from branch to branch, slowing down only enough so that his comrade could take the lead, Gambaldi devised his plan. He made a low whistle noise to signal a stop, done just as the bunker was in view. It was fortunate that whoever was in charge of guarding the bunker had lax security. Something was definitely off, but there wasn't time to fully discern the abnormality. "If no one is out patrolling then that means most are in the bunker still," he stated as he glanced toward the sky. Light had begun to shine through the haze as the world around the duo had begun to stir from its slumber. "If we can get in before they are completely aware that they are being infiltrated, we can save the slaves and kill the bulk of the bandits inside within the hour. Since you know the easiest route inside, you will go ahead of me. I will allow myself to be captured," with that said, Gambaldi made a series of hand seals and instant changed his appearance.

In a puff of smoke, Gambaldi had gone from the tall and imposing man he was to a much more frail old man. He wore brown tattered rags that carried numerous stains and holes in the fabric. He appeared much more bent as if his back was in pain. His eyes were still greyish green but a lot more larger than his natural eyes. His face was sunken in to the extent that he appeared frail, skinny, and likely malnourished. He turned his head, his expression still very serious despite the hysterical appearance. "Once you see them take me inside, make your move to get inside. As soon as I spot where the slaves are I intend to begin these fools execution. If you happen to spot the Uchiha before me, ensure that you find out where the main hideout is," he began though his voice had not changed. Noticing this Gambaldi cleared his throat, being careful to do so quietly, before he spoke again. "Try not to die, kid," he said as his tone switched to a more raspy and shaky.

With that said, Gambaldi leapt from the tree and landed on the ground directly below him. Without a moments pause he dashed off toward the bunker, vanishing in the foliage on the ground. He would close the distance only when he spotted a hint of movement ahead of him. Just like he'd assumed, the bandits were sloppy and had failed to have a patrol so early in the day. His plan fresh in his mind, the disguised Gambaldi stopped and laid on the ground directly in the front of the now emerging bandit patrol. His body was still aside from his labored breath, a rather easy act to pull off.

"What's that up ahead," one of the men shouted pointing towards the old man lying on the ground. "An old fool whose run clean out if luck, look the old bastard is still alive," one of the bandits stated amused. "Drag that garbage back to the bunker. Were short a few slaves since that damn fool tossed them inside before the fumes were gone. Get some food in him, the rest of us will keep moving. Hurry and catch up after your done or you'll miss out on the ladies. Also try not beat him up more than he already is," the patrol leader chuckled as they headed off back on their patrol route. The remaining bandit picked up the disguised Gambaldi, though he was shocked at the weight of the supposedly brittle old man. "Geez, ya old shit, your bones made of steel or what," he complained as he hoisted Gambaldi over his shoulder and returned to bunker.

Gambaldi continued to feign incoherence as they entered into the bunker. The bandit tossed down Gambaldi into a single room that was filled with captured men, women, and children. The cowered away as the bandit entered, carrying a smug expression gave a random shout to scare the slaves more. "What a pathetic lot you are. I'd rather die than be a slave." Gambaldi continued to lie still after hitting the hard floor with a low thud and the bandit turned away to leave the room.

The moment the bandit turned away, Gambaldi's eyes shot open as he dismissed his just. Without missing a single beat, he was on his feet and covered the couple of meters distance between himself and the unaware bandit. "Then you will die," Gambaldi said, his deep voice sounding sinister. In a swift motion he put the man in a very tight rear naked choke, his large arm completely enveloping the Bandits exposed neck. Try his best to break free, Gambaldi leaned back so that the bandit was hoisted of the ground kicking and gasping. "You and your kind are monsters," he whispered to the man as the fight slowly left his body, "Take solace in the fact that I will send every single one of your comrades and Don Sanada himself straight to hell."

His eyes bulging and slob dripped from his agape mouth. When his body stopped moving, Gambaldi finished the job by snapping the bandits neck and allowed the body to slump to the ground. "May you rest in shit," Gambaldi said with a sneer as he turned to address the slaves. "Your all safe for now, but there will be more coming. If you value your life and the life of your family, take up arms and help me free you from your shackles. Help me ensure that trash like this never see the light of day. Do exactly as I command and I promise you will have revenge on those that have deemed themselves to be the master of men," Gambaldi began as picked up the rusty knife being carried by the now dead bandit, "Or you can stay here and live forever as the property of another. What is your choice." The slaves respond by stepping closer and giving their savior a nod. One in particular stepped forward and spoke out, "Are you the Black Lion, my lord, we prayed that the man who singlehandedly started the first slave rebellion. They say he has a voice that could shake mountains and stands as tall as giant."

Upon hearing this Gambaldi turned away from the slaves, his face still maintaining a scowl, "I'm a man just like any other, I just have the courage to fight for the change I desire. All of you are capable of the same," he replied as he stepped out the room and into an empty hallway, "Right now you out number your captors and have advantage of being prepared. Take your freedom in blood. Those unable to fight should stay back. This nightmare will be over soon, I promise."

Now with a little more manpower, thanks to bandit incompetence, Gambaldi started down the first hallway ignoring the feeling of deja vu. Once again he stood at the front of slaves to lead them to freedom and simultaneously give them the fire to fight back. Immediately recalling how it felt to bury his blade in the belly of his master and eager to do so to Don Sanada. "Show no mercy, because I promise you that you will not receive an ounce of it from them." The look in the slaves eyes said it all as they followed behind Gambaldi. They had no intention of showing mercy to those that had basically tossed them in a death trap and laughed at their dead as they tossed them out like garbage. They wanted nothing more than to see to it that all these monsters get their just desserts, and Gambaldi was happy to assist in this endeavor.

Gambaldi only hoped that his partner would already be inside, which would mean a two pronged surprise assault from the inside.

Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran]   Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran] Icon_minitimeFri Oct 23, 2015 2:05 pm

It appeared that the majority of the Jounin’s lengthy explanation and strategy fell on deaf ears. After formulating a strategy that would ensure the safety of the slaves and bringing their target to them, the lengthy ninja stated that it would not be good enough before blowing out a puff of smoke. The man insisted that none of the Don’s men would survive this encounter. This was due to them being traitors to the village, not really something that Soran could deny. A suggestion was made that the two would find the Uchuha slave owner and extract the data they needed from him before burning everything else to the ground.

Indeed, the Land of Water would be much better off without the existence of a crime lord. This was evident from the amount of patients the Don had been sending to the medical facility in Kirigakure. Even though healing patients is what allowed the doctor to make income, he could not help but to loathe those who caused harm to those people in the first place. Taking out the Uchiha who burned and stabbed his victims would not be a problem.

Flicking the joint from the tree, the Jounin’s partner sprang into action. The white haired ninja followed behind, but kept his distance. Soran was unsure what his companion was plotting and did not want to become a liability to whatever the course of action being taken was. Instead the shinobi caught the joint out of the air and smoked whatever was left of it. After exhaling the final bit of smoke, the hooded warrior placed the cowl back over his mouth and continued to follow his associate from a reasonable distance away.

Noticing that the man dashing from branch to branch began to slow down, the Kaguya took the lead. He had managed to gain a slight bit of difference between the two before his partner released a low pitched whistle to signal a stop. The other ninja began to speak and deduced that the bandits were still inside the bunker and had not thought to take an early morning shift. But the sun was still rising and a patrol was likely to emerge at any time. Luckily, the two had made it this far without being seen. Continuing his plot, the taller shinobi stated that if the two performed this operation with stealth; they could save the slaves and kill the bulk of the bandits inside within the hour. Soran was to go on ahead while his associate would allow himself to be captured.

“Alright. I will go in, take out any resistance, and find out what I can on Sanada.” The white haired shinobi confirmed as his partner began to weave a few hand seals. In a puff of smoke, the man had transformed and the Kaguya had vanished.

Moving on ahead towards the peak of the mountain, Soran stopped and hid as the morning patrol was just now leaving the bunker. Once they went by, the stealthy shinobi quickly made his way into the bunker. A flashback hit the medic as he entered these walls for a second time. Last time he was here he had saved a female performer from being assaulted, as well as freeing the young prince from captivity. This was a dark and evil place, only illuminated by the slightest amount of light.

Last time he was here, the majority of the bandits were located in the center of the mountain. That is likely where the Uchiha was torturing his victims. As the stealthy assassin began to venture towards this area, he was forced to hide as the escape hatch opened and a bandit entered while carrying an old man. There was something familiar about the old man, but the shinobi’s mind was too preoccupied to realize that the old man was his partner. The bandit took the elderly man down to the lower level of the base where the prince had been held captive. This was likely the location that the slaves were being kept.

Another bandit was around the corner and passed by the man carrying the elderly. It was likely the man’s replacement for the scouting party on patrol. Sneaking up behind the man, Soran quickly covered the bandit’s mouth with one palm and sprouted a bone spike out of the other. This was done so swiftly that not a single sound was made. The hooded ninja then whispered into the bandit’s ear from underneath his cowl:

“I should kill you right now for being a part of this. But instead I will give you an opportunity to make things right. Go tell Sanada that his slaves have escaped captivity and he is needed at the base immediately. If you warn anybody or sound an alarm, I will be back. And next time, there will be no words. Only death and suffering!”

After whispering these words to his hostage, Soran affirmed that the man understood by making him agree to all of his demands. The medic retracted the bone spike back into his palm and shoved the bandit towards the escape hatch and watched as he fled to go deliver the message to his master.

Rather than follow the bandit, Soran proceeded to the central area of the base by climbing on the side of the wall. As he entered the central chamber of the hidden base, the Kaguya noticed that the banners of the previous rebellion group were no longer present. They appeared to be torn down, as some of the fabric was still on the wall. However, the room was more flooded than ever with bandits. At the center of the room was a small glimmer illuminating off of the foreheads of one of them men. The glow came from light reflecting off of a Kirigakure headband with a slash through it. Luckily, the hood on the Jounin’s head prevented his location from being given away. It was clear who the man with the rogue headband was. The description of black hair fit, but the man’s eyes did not appear to be glowing red. This was good! The Uchiha did not feel the need to have his Sharingan active, so he had not yet detected the chakra signature of the Kaguya.

As the stealthy shinboi calculated the best course of action, the bandit that Soran had interrogated earlier entered the rooms and shouted that the slaves have been set free. Suddenly another man entered the room in an outrage, shouting at the Uchiha that his job was to maintain the order of the slave trade. The Uchiha was actually apologetic to the man and addressed him as Faust. It seemed that the bandit that Soran had frightened earlier went to the wrong Sanada. Instead of bringing the Don to the base, he had brought the Don’s son instead.

Without any warning, Soran dropped from the ceiling and landed on Faust; knocking him face-first into the ground. Placing a palm on the back of the man’s head, the medic instantly cut off the electrical signals in the brain of Faust. The Don’s son was now unable to move his body, but he would still be able to speak.

In a rush of panic, the bandits and their Uchiha leader prepared for combat against the lone Jounin. The hooded ninja was completely surrounded and outnumbered. But before any actions were made, the freed slaves emerged from the hallway. Soran’s eyes were focused on the Uchiha, who had now activated his Sharingan. This sight enraged the shinobi who was trained by a man of the same clan. A person who uses those eyes for evil purposes did not deserve the power they granted. While the slaves and bandits began their onslaught against each other, the Kaguya and Uchiha began fighting…

Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran]   Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran] Icon_minitimeSun Oct 25, 2015 3:00 pm

The numerous foot steps could be heard throughout the immediate hallways, as the need for discretion was over. With little time to prepare, Gambaldi organized the now armed slaves to take control of the bunker. Knowing full well that the patrol would eventually return, several of the more sturdy and healthier slaves stayed hidden near the entrance. They would allow the unit to return without harassment until they were completely inside the bunker. Then they would pounce on their captors and deliver some much needed justice. This meant that only those remaining inside would be the only opposition to deal with, one of which being an Uchiha. This made things a little tricky for many knew of the deadly ability the clan possessed. Often sought by those who desire to have those same abilities for their own. Gambaldi cared little for such things, however, being that he had the utmost confidence in the eyes he was born with.

As the group of slaves made their wat deeper into the cave, Gambaldi couldn't help but feel the nostalgia. Leading slaves to freedom had been the cornerstone of his entire life. Now so many years later, like so many other times, he was doing it all again. It was a never ending fight, at least this what the giant shinobi thought. So long as there was profit to be made from it, sick bastards like Don Sanada would only restart it all. This was the reason behind Gambaldi's desire to see everyone in the Sanada Family killed. If even one of these monsters survived, then chances are they would simply pick up where Sanada left off. That could not be allowed, especially in the place where Gambaldi calls home.

As the group turned the corner, nearing their destination, Gambaldi signaled for the group to stop. He held up a single finger to signal for silence as he listened to the shouting in the next room. The door leading to the room had a single window in the center of it, the door itself was made of solid steel. Peeking inside, being very careful not to be spotted, Gambaldi immediately laid eyes on the traitor. His blood boiled with rage as he looked at the crossed out Kirigakure symbol on his headband. The massive shinobi bit his bottom lip to stave off his anger, no small task considering traitors were his greatest pet peeve. "That little bastard will get his," he mumbled to himself as he continued to size up the room.

At that moment the Uchiha was apparently being chewed out by a subordinate, the traitors expressions showing that much since it was hard to actually hear what was being said. It was during the scolding did Gambaldi spot his comrade, landing completely on top of the man in charge whom Gambaldi discerned to be Faust Sanada. A smirk spread on the veteran shinobi's face as he watched the white haired shinobi completely immobilize the target, then swiftly directed his attention to the Uchiha. Taking a moment to recover from shock, the Uchiha's men began to move in on the white haired shinobi. This was the moment Gambaldi had been waiting for.

Without so much as a second thought, Gambaldi burst through the door with the rusty in hand. His greyish green eyes were wide and bulging with rage, his mouth wide open as he roared loudly as he made his presence known. Rage fueled his every step as he charged at the unsuspecting bandits screaming, "IMPERIUS REX," as he jammed his knife into the nearest bandits neck. Behind him was a mob of crazed slaves, each matching the raging expression of their savior and even shouted "Imperius Rex" as the fell upon the bandits like a raging tide.

In mere moments, the room became a battlefield with both sides taking loses. Despite the fact the slaves outnumbered their captors, they were still untrained civilians at the core. Meanwhile the bandits were accustomed to battle and were able to maintain against the slaves onslaught. This made for a semi-even fight between the two forces, the deciding factors on both sides naturally being the shinobi.

As the raged on and the floor began to become slick with blood, Gambaldi reached his comrade who was having an old school showdown with the Uchiha. Normally Gambaldi himself would prefer to handle the heavy lifting, but the veteran was curious to see how well the white haired shinobi would fair against a member from the legendary clan. "I assume you have this guy under control. I'll get started on finding the Don's hideout. Try not to let any of these fucks live and retrieve the traitors head. The Mizukage will definitely want that on a platter." Without saying anything else, Gambaldi picked up the still paralyzed Faust and dragged him toward the way he'd just came in. While a few did try to stop Gambaldi, the slaves made them pay dearly for being distracted and thus made it easy for Gambaldi to reach his destination.

Immediately upon reaching the hallway, Gambaldi tossed Faust so that his back hit the wall full force. Luckily the paralysis was still affecting his body, so aside from the wind getting knocked out of him Faust was fine. Gambaldi scowl remained as approached his victim, the rusty knife still dripping blood as he carried it in his right hand. The tall shinobi offered no explanation or questions, he simply knelt down so that he was eye level with Faust and without hesitation moved to cut his left ear off. It wasn't so much as the pain that made Faust scream, but instead it was the shock. He swore and made threats, but that only spurred the Kirigakure ninja on more.

When Faust opened his mouth again, Gambaldi tossed the severed ear right in it and swiftly chopped Faust in the throat. The attempt had actually forced Faust to swallow his ear completely and immediately start choking and gagging. Gambaldi then stabbed Faust in his kneecap, plunging the 8 in blade as far as it would go before finally speaking.

"I don't have time for games and I don't like repeating myself. I'm going to ask you a very simple question and your gonna answer it truthfully. If you hesitate or I think your lying, I will feed you your nuts next," Gambaldi said plainly though his face still maintained the scowl, "Where is the Sanada Family main hideout?" Without so much as taking a breath to breathe, Faust divulged his father's location and begged for his life. Gambaldi only replied by grabbing the man by the head with both his hands and began to squeeze as hard as he could. Gambaldi assumed the paralysis had ended because Faust had finally begun to scream out in pain.

The two continued to lock eyes as Faust pleaded for his life, but to no avail. Gambaldi instead plunged his thumbs into the eyes of Faust, immediately causing blood to spurt out and hit Gambaldi's face. He continued to press until his thumbs had all but vanished in the skull of Faust and with a swift jerk, broke the cowards neck. "It's a shame that Don Sanada's son lacks his loyalty. I suppose this fool is like the rest of his generation. Selfish little shits," he mumbled as reached in his pocket and pulled out another joint. The blood on his hands stained the joint, as he brought it to his lips but Gambaldi didn't mind.

After lighting the joint, Gambaldi headed back to the room to see how everything transpired during his interrogation. The entire process had taken about 15 minutes, give or take a minute or two. Hopefully his comrade was able to handle the situation.

Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran]   Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran] Icon_minitimeSun Oct 25, 2015 5:49 pm

Dropping from the ceiling and incapacitating the son of Don Sanada was the primary objective before the Jounin could battle hid true target, the Uchiha. Immediately after dropping down and using a medical ninjutsu to paralyze the Don’s eldest son. The information that was needed could be extracted later. For now, the white haired shinobi stood up and got between Faust and the Uchiha that had been getting chewed out by his superior. Meanwhile, Soran kept his eyes on his target without even glancing around his surroundings to notice that he was surrounded by bloodthirsty bandits and vastly outnumbered.

No words were spoken as the Uchiha activated his Sharingan and glared into the eyes of the hooded assailant. The missing ninja from Kirigakure was wearing traditional Uchiha robes in the colors black and grey. He also possessed ninja tools on his waist that any common ninja from a village would have. It was dead silent while the two stared each other down, as if the only people in the room were those wearing headbands. One representing loyalty to the Land of Water and the other representing betrayal.

Being trained by a mentor who possessed the Mangekyō Sharingan, Soran knew of the dangers of looking an Uchiha in the eye. With only a single glance of the Sharingan, a possessor of these eyes could impose a nightmarish Genjutsu within the mind of their victim. To counter this, the white haired ninja learned to channel chakra into the parietal lobe of his brain. This would distinguish illusion from reality and keep the Jounin’s mind clear.

The plan to take care of the intruder appeared to be the Uchiha placing him into a Genjutsu of pure horror and then having his followers kill him. Before any bandits could make a hostile move towards the hooded assailant, the shinobi’s accomplice rushed in and jammed a rusty knife into the throat of a bandit. Behind him was an angry mob of slaves flooding into the room while screaming the words "Imperius Rex!"

In only a few short moments, the central room of the hidden base became a bloodbath. The Uchiha turned his head away from the hooded man during the disturbance, dropping his guard in the process. The Taijutsu master rushed towards his opponent at an extremely rapid rate and punched the rogue shinobi in the jaw without a moment’s thought, warning, or hesitation. The amount of force that went into the power of the swing sent the traitor flying across the room and crashing into the inner edge of the mountain. The possessor of the Sharingan was unaware that his Genjutsu was ineffective and paid the price for assuming that his illusion was successful.

While the Uchiha was struggling to recover from the sucker punch, the other shinobi that came to the base with Soran and stated that he would interrogate Faust while the hooded assassin took care of the missing ninja. The tall ninja then picked up their paralyzed captive and dragged him into a hallway while the Uchiha emerged from the rubble enraged.

“That one was for the kid you set on fire and stabbed repeatedly.” The grey eyed ninja stated coldly as the Uchiha stood to his feet. “But don’t worry, I’ll be sure to give you payback for each and every person you have inflicted pain upon. Your Genjutsu doesn’t affect me. The irregularities you witnessed in my chakra flow was self-inflicted to counter the effects of your Sharingan. You tried to place terror into my mind with those red eyes of yours. I will show you what real fear is!”

The Uchiha wiped the blood from his lip and only responded to the words spoken by weaving a flurry of hand seals. A volley of small fireballs, which were sent flying in an unpredictable manner, emerged from the rogue’s lips. Using his Quick Step, the hooded shinobi avoided each and every fireball sent his way by concentrating chakra throughout his body to temporarily vitalize it to move at extreme speeds. Unfortunately, for each fireball avoided this way, both slaves and bandits were roasted alive by the Phoenix Flower Jutsu.

While flickering around the room at an almost untraceable speed, the intense heat could be felt from underneath his dark ninja clothing. Luckily, this outfit was designed to be fire-resistant and incredibly difficult to burn. This would work in the shinobi’s favor while facing off against a man who wields the element of fire as a weapon.

Displeased with his opponent using swift movements to avoid his assault, the Uchiha responded by releasing a volley of shuriken with one hand, and at the same time, exhaled fire-infused chakra onto them in order to increase the weapons' destructive potential by making them capable of inflicting severe burns upon direct contact. The hooded assailant continued to avoid each projectile sent his way. However, the others in the room were not so fortunate. These fiery shuriken struck both the bandits and slaves in the room. Due to the chakra-based nature of the flames that surround them, the shuriken continued to burn after impact with their victims.

After avoiding the last of the flame shuriken sent his way, the Kaguya flickered directly in front of the Uchiha and proceeded to assault the rogue with an onslaught of combos. These attacks ranged from simple punches and kicks to skewering his foe with several long bone blades emerging from his knees and elbows. Try as he might, the Uchiha did not possess the Taijutsu skills necessary to keep up with his opponent. Even though his eyes could keep up with the swift movements inflicting pain upon him, his body was not quick enough to react.

Impaling the man against the wall with various bone spikes, the Uchiha was mounted on the wall with no escape. The Kaguya cleared the room of the remaining bandits before retracting the bones into his own body, but left the bones impaling the red eyed traitor against the inner wall of the base. Leaving him alive, but unable to move.

Soran then went around the room and healed all the slaves that were injured during the conflict. Even though some of them had died during the struggle, the medical shinobi managed to save the majority of lives. After using the Mystical Palm Technique on the survivors, the doctor instructed the slaves to leave through the escape hatch. They obeyed and left with the satisfaction of knowing that those who had imprisoned them were now dead. With the bandits dead, Faust captured, and the slaves obtaining freedom; the mission was nearly complete.

After the slaves left, there was one last thing to take care of before facing off with Don Sanada. The Kaguya slowly walked over to the Uchiha cursing him for impaling him with bone spikes. Growing tired of the barrage of insults, Soran placed his palm over the traitor’s mouth and paralyzed him with the same medical ninjutsu used on Faust.

“You brought this upon yourself, you know.” The Kaguya explained in a cold, harsh tone. “The Uchiha are a loved and respected clan in the Land of Water. You scorching children alive and stabbing them repeatedly gives the Sharingan a bad name. So to keep the sanctity of the clan intact, I am going to remove your eyes so nobody analyzing your corpse will know you were an Uchiha.”

Speaking these words brought fear into the rogue’s crimson red eyes before the white haired shinobi shot two skeletal bullets into them with his free hand. Blood rushed down the side of the Uchiha’s face as he screamed in agony, unable to move or provide any resistance whatsoever. While his fingertips regenerated; a bone spike protruded from the Kaguya’s palm through the man’s mouth, severing the Uchiha’s spinal cord and killing him.

The aroma from earlier entered the room, along with the Jounin’s comrade. The floor was covered with the bodies of all the bandits, along with the slaves who had lost their lives during the conflict. Soran had been caught next to his opponent crucified against the wall with spikes of bone. Removing his palm from the mouth of the Uchiha revealed a large bone spike emerging from the palm of his hand.

“The bandits are dead and most of the slaves escaped safely.” The hooded ninja told the smoking shinobi as he nonchalantly retracted the bone spike back into his palm. His grey eyes noticed the blood on the hands of the man assigned to interrogate the Don’s son. It was clear that he had likely gained the information and killed Faust.

Walking over to the other shinobi, Soran grabbed the blood-stained joint and began to smoke it with his comrade.

“So what information did you find out?” Soran asked curiously as he puffed in a couple more clouds of smoke before passing it back to the taller shinobi. “We only have one more loose end to tie up before the mission is complete. We need Don Sanada.”

Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran]   Rooting out the Problem [Missions /w Soran] Icon_minitimeSat Oct 31, 2015 11:57 am

Gambaldi entered the room, ready to continue the fight if need be, but arrived to see a rather grisly scene. Bodies of both bandits and freed slaves littered the area along with blood almost everywhere. No bandits had survived the encounter and those that clung to life were assisted in passing on by the few able-bodied slaves, the assistance coming in the form of a knife in the throat. The smell of burning flesh was also quite apparent, as the smoke from the charred corpses of the unlucky bandits and slaves still danced off their bodies. The veteran shinobi's attention then shifted to his comrade and what he saw was quite surprising.

Many in the Land of Water knew of the revered Kaguya clan, said to be the most powerful in all the Land. The stories told tales of these men and women being able wield their own bones as a weapon. Their bones were like steel and were durable enough to withstand the hardest and heaviest of blows without so much as batting an eye. Unfortunately, the story was that they all had pretty much vanished from society. The world had assumed them all extinct and aside from what he'd gathered from a history book, Gambaldi knew very little else about them. Up until now he'd simply tossed the Kaguya in with all the other amazing stories of past shinobi.

Now before him stood a living, breathing Kaguya, Gambaldi was sure. He was very skilled at Genjutsu so he was quite sure that the bone protruding from his comrades hand was real. Whoever this boy was, he was not just some random kid. In fact, Gambaldi liked how the white haired shinobi operated. The dead corpse on the wall, was a nice touch and obviously left a lasting impression on all the slaves. By this point several slaves approached Gambaldi as he moved to approach his comrade. Most offered gratitude for freeing them and giving them the courage to fight.

Gambaldi responded in kind with nod and a smile before speaking, "Listen, even though you are freed this war is not over. The Land of Water is still plagued by monsters like him," Gambaldi began as he pointed to the dead Uchiha, "Kirigakure needs all the help it can get in ridding the land of these demons. I cannot guarantee you a glamorous life, but if you all come to Kirigakure you will at least have a chance to make something of yourself. You will never again be in shackles again and can do your part in ensuring this never happens again. The choice is yours. If you desire to fight for change then go to Kirigakure and inform them that Raionhato Gambaldi sent you."

As expected the decision was immediate and unanimous, the freed slaves would come to Kirigakure. After picking one of the more "take charge" individuals amongst the group, Gambaldi directed them on which road to take. There was still the concern of the patrol coming back, but the freed slaves ensured that they would deal with them on the way to Kirigakure. Once the freed slaves had armed themselves with the armor and weapons from the dead bandit's bodies, they took their leave of the bunker.

While the freed slaves prepared to leave, Gambaldi approached his comrade and looked at his handiwork. The Uchiha was quite grotesque up close, blood flowing from his eyes like tears as his open mouth dripped blood into the red pool directly below the corpse. Joint still lit between his lips, Gambaldi took a hit as the Kaguya inquired about the information he'd gathered from Faust. "He was reluctant to tell at first," the tall shinobi began as he attempted to pass the joint, "The hideout is near the edge of the island, not very far from here. Apparently the Don won't be as guarded here since most of his best were here. Let's put an end to all this."

With all the prisoners in route to Kirigakure, Gambaldi made his way to compound. He gave the Kaguya directions on how to get there and dashed off at full speed. This was because Gambaldi wanted to be the vanguard in this situation. Let them believe that he was here alone so that his ally could easily wipe them out while their occupied. Gambaldi, however, didn't explain this to the white haired shinobi and simply gave him directions to get there only. This was set to be a last chance to see how the shinobi adapted and improvised on a moments notice.

Dashing from branch to branch, Gambaldi arrived just outside the compound of Don Sanada. The entire compound itself was large enough to house several families within. There were a total of four structures within the compound, two two story buildings being nearest to the entrance gate with one on either side; near the rear was a large 3 story mansion perfectly centered on the gated entrance into the compound. Between the mansion and the gate stood a rather large tower with two men inside on guard. Surrounding all this was a 20ft wall of solid rock and steel, the entrance gate being the only known way in or out. The place was ultimately a fortress.

Assuming the disguise of Faust, Gambaldi leapt from the trees and to the ground. He made it a point to remain hidden still, not wanting to be caught before he was ready. He would need to get in and get as close to the Don as possible. Almost immediately he altered his appearance so that he still looked like Faust, but in more beat up condition. The plan in his head had come just that fast, one of the giant shinobi's known quirks. He'd simply go in and tell them the truth, the bunker was taken by Kirigakure shinobi. Gambaldi would blame it all on the Uchiha and claim his escape was nothing short of a miracle.

"This will be the second disguise today," he thought as he stepped onto the road and headed toward the compound. Almost immediately upon nearing the gate, Gambaldi feigning injury, was met by the security of the compound. These guys were a major step up from the bandits at the bunker. All of them wore black suits or dressed very formally and carried an air of seriousness about them. These guys were the real deal, gangsters who'd seen their own fair share of war and bloodshed. Some part of Gambaldi could almost feel a sort of kinship with these men, it was to bad he'd have to kill them all. None of these men were innocent in the eyes of Gambaldi and death was the punishment for a slaver.

"Faust," one of the guards shouted, "What the hell happened?" The disguised Gambaldi continued his act until he was well with grabbing range of the left most and closest gangster. "The bunker," he began as he spoke with a tone of voice that almost perfectly matched Fausts, "Kirigakure have found it and freed the supply. Uchiha is dead and the other bandits as well. We must inform the Don of this immediately, if we hurry we can reclaim what we lost." Both gangsters eyes widened with surprise as they moved to help the disguised ninja inside. "How did you escape," one asked while the other returned to his post. "When I arrived at the bunker, everything was fine. Then out of nowhere this white haired guy literally falls from the ceiling and lands on one of the guys. Before we had time to react another shinobi charges in screaming like a maniac with a mob of slaves with him. That's when all hell broke loose. We all fought until Uchiha was slain by the white haired guy. That's when I took my leave of the battle, I couldn't expect one of those idiots to deliver the news in time. We need to gather up our men and take that bunker while they are unaware of us."

The gangster agreed as he assisted the disguised ninja to the Don's mansion. The two entered without being hassled and arrived at the Don's office door. Gambaldi pushed the door open with his left hand, while his right was loosely around the neck of the gangster helping him. Inside they found the man himself sitting alone with a sharp and finely polished katana in his hand. He was a short bald man with a tattoo of several tally marks on his neck. He, too, wore a suit though his was all black from dress shirt to the socks.

"You look like shit, son, what happened," Don Sanada asked without looking away from the katana. "We've been compromised, Don, Kirigakure shinobi have invaded the compound," Gambaldi replied as his right arm tightened around the neck of the gangster. Simultaneously after speaking, Gambaldi would remove his disguise and choke the gangster to death. Don face widened as he leapt on his table and pointed his katana. He'd just been about to speak when Gambaldi weaved a few hand seals and immediately the Don collapsed in agonizing pain. "Don Sanada, by order of the Water Daimyo and the inhabitants of the Land of Water, your hereby sentenced to death." The Don's reply came in the form of a extremely loud shout for help. "There is no help for demons like you, Sanada, but you shouldn't worry. I will send everything you built to hell with you, your legacy will die as a foot note in my own." "I swear you will pay for this, Black Lion. For the death of my brother and the heartache you caused my family," Sanade grunted in pain, still stuck in the genjutsu. "Your traitorous brother started this when he decided to help Konoha ambush me and my brother. Now you and your family can be his bitch on the other side."

Gambaldi, ignoring the stampede of feet approaching, picked up the Don's katana and gave it a look over. The blade was much longer than the average katana, so much so that in the hands of a average user it would take much two hands just to wield it properly. Due to his massive stature, the blade looked like a typical katana in Gambaldi's hands. From the floor the katana was equal in height to a man standing at 5'8ft, which showed just how skilled the Don had been in his youth since this was his weapon of choice. Now the old Don was about to meet his end at the hands of Kirigakure. Only when the Don's men arrived at the door, did Gambaldi bring down the katana on the neck of Sanada. This was so all could witness the end of the family and so his comrade would have an easier time killing off the remainder of the compound.

The gangsters, after witnessing the Don's head get parted from his shoulders, charged into the room and attempted to draw their guns. Katana in hand Gambaldi moved at such a speed that by the time the last man drew his gun, half of them had already lost their heads. "Understand that none of you will leave here alive. In the name of Kirigakure and all the poor souls you bastards have condemned to slavery, I will kill each and every one of you," Gambaldi said as the blood dripped from the katana.

The response was a mixed one, those at rear choosing to run while those at the front charged in. Gambaldi counted 6 in total and without so much as breaking a sweat, delivered extremely fast thrust at the charging opponents. The thrusts were precise and struck each charging gangster once in the forehead, killing each on contact. They all stood in place as he walked past them, their bodies only falling when he reached door. "Imperius Rex," he said under his breath as he made it back outside. The compound was empty and all that was left was to burn it to the ground. As he pulled out his lighter, he had a second thought.

This place isn't that bad, might be a good idea to keep this awhile. The Mizukage may even have need for it. "Perhaps this compound can be salvaged to do some good," Gambaldi mumbled under his breath as he noticed his comrade approaching. "You've done well for kid, I gotta admit I'm thoroughly impressed. What's your name, boy," he asked with a slight smirk. He'd wait long enough to get answer before continuing, "I decided against burning this place down. A fortified place like this has much more potential than just being fire food. We'll report in and let the Mizukage decide what he wants to do with it. Let's go, the sooner we get back to the village the better."

With that said Gambaldi dashed off though this time he maintained a pace his comrade, who he'd learn was named Soran (or Nanashi), could easily maintain. He also kept the katana of Don Sanada, as a trophy and as a new tool. With no interruptions on the road, aside from a few dead bandit patrols, the duo would make it back to Kirigakure around dusk. The two were both met at the gates by members of the Kirigakure shinobi council. Gambaldi, knowing who they were, immediately took a knee and showed his respect. "Raionhato, if we had more shinobi like you then Kirigakure would be unmatched in this land. News has spread all over about your deeds of freeing the slaves," the female council member began but was cut off by Gambaldi. "I didn't do this alone, in fact it may not have gone so smoothly had it not been for this shinobi." The council turned its gaze to to Soran and bowed their heads to him. "You both have performed remarkably in the service of Kirigakure and you deserve to be rewarded for it. Lord Raionhato Gambaldi, do you accept the mantle as Third Mizukage of Kirigakure?"

For once the ever confident jounin was at a loss for words. He had always desired to reach the pinnacle of what a true shinobi is, becoming Mizukage was a means to that end. Now finally, here was at the moment he'd spent his entire life fighting for. "I humbly accept, my Lords and Lady, I will do my utmost to ensure Kirigakure once again sends tremors through the land," he said as he rose to his feet, "As the new Mizukage I will require strong shinobi by my side. Soran of Kirigakure, I promote you to the rank of Anbu. Though you are not captain, you answer only to me. You have more than impressed me today, I would not choose anyone else as my Right Hand."

Gambaldi would fall silent and allow his words to hang in the air. After the brief moment one of the council men spoke up, "You will need an official coronation ceremony, but as of today you are now Raionhato Gambaldi the Black Lion of the Mist and Third Mizukage. Congratulations." It still seemed a bit surreal, but Gambaldi held his composure as he looked upon Kirigakure. This was to beginning of the rest of his life.

Evaluating the situation, Soran analyzed the room once more as his grey eyes scanned the floor of corpses. The slaves were officially free and only one task remained. His comrade informed the shinobi that the Don’s hideout was near the edge of the island as he passed him the joint once more. The white haired ninja lowered his cowl and continued to puff and inhale a large quantity of smoke without coughing. As he exhaled, his partner dashed off after giving the Kaguya directions.

Walking around the corner, the medic noticed the body of Faust and analyzed it. His ear had been severed and shoved into his mouth before having his eyes gouged out.

“Damn... And I thought I was brutal.” Soran thought aloud to himself.

This was the second organization to use this mountain as a hideout. He could not allow the cycle to continue. Focusing chakra into his hands, the Kaguya’s fists became a bright white color as he punched the inside of the mountain. With a rumble, the hideout began to cave in. Using his Quick Step, Soran managed to escape through the exit as the dead bodies were buried underneath the rubble.

The sun was bright in the sky upon his exit. How long had the two been on this mission? It didn’t matter, the hours passing by only meant he was closer to the mission being finished. Making his way to the location specified by the taller shinobi, he noticed a large amount of gangsters. Going to work, the Kaguya used his Taijutsu abilities to wipe out the entire camp. Approaching the man who killed the Don, the white haired ninja was asked his name.

“My name is Soran.” The shinobi stated as he removed his hood and cowl. At this point, he felt no need to conceal his identity. With the mission successful, he had proven his worth to the man. The man stated that he had decided against burning down the compound and using it for his own personal use. Soran suddenly regretted destroying the hideout in the mountain with his chakra enhanced strength.

Making their way back to the village, the two enjoyed smoking some more marijuana together. The two approached the gate of Kirigakure around dusk. Waiting for them was the shinobi council. Simultaneously, the two kneeled before the council. Giving partial credit to the white haired ninja, Soran learned that his comrade was addressed as Lord Raionhato Gambaldi.

The two suddenly achieved new ranks for their efforts. The taller man became Raionhato Gambaldi the Black Lion of the Mist and Third Mizukage. His first decree was promoting Soran to ANBU. In a matter of only a few moments, both men were acknowledged as S-Rank ninja in the village. This certainly was a joyous occasion for the two. Thanking Gambaldi for his promotion, Soran wandered off towards his home to get some rest. The medic would soon have new duties to attend while debating if he would keep his doctor position.
