The Tournament in Konoha[EVENT]

The arena in Konohagakure no Sato was a brilliant reflection of the great wealth there, as well of as the Senju clan's influence over the village. This contest was held in what many would refer to in the past as the forest of death. Several weeks of hard work by powerful workers, craftsmen, nature specialists, volunteers, and Shinobi hoping to make some extra mission cash was put into transforming a squared fourth mile of this hell hole into a place where even weak nobles could venture, but it would still be a real life nightmare for those two contestants who may have made the mistake of being unprepared for what was before them.

The spectators were in a special building that was supported by the tops of the trees. It was a squared eight of a mile and had a floor made of several feet of glass. This was an extremely lavish area to be in, as well. Teas from Sunagakure no Sato, plates from Iwagakure no Sato, alcoholic beverages from Kirigakure no Sato, and furniture made right here in Konohagakure no Sato. Several of the people in attendance were nobility who were making the situation into a party even though they knew that this was going to be a massive event in the military history of the Land of Fire, and determine how their defense would be handled for decades at least. The example of the Kage who comes into power through this fight could easily determine the next several generations. The Shinobi of Konohagakure no Sato were people known to enjoy tradition.

The East and West ends of this ball room in the sky had what could easily have been mistaken for bathrooms if checked out closely. Upon entering either door, by the East or to the West, one would find a narrow hallway leading to another door of about the same size, but this one would have a very large lock on it, that the Shinobi were to lock as they descended down into the terrifying forest. There was no stairway, latter, or even a pole to slide down to take them to the ground. They were to rely entirely upon the colossal trees that held up the civilians above. This was a reminder that in becoming the Hokage, the fate of the fellow Shinobi, of Konohagakure no Sato, of the Land of Fire, and maybe most importantly of several different levels of international affairs. Because of this a Shinobi who could battle without destroying what was around them would be needed. What they needed was a man who had the ferocity of a tailed beast with the control of a sage. The larger wildlife had been removed as to allow things to be a little bit easier on the construction crews, but some birds and various insects, including those most feared leaches, still remained. If a contestant is in one place for more than fifty seconds then a leach will descend to latch onto them. If not removed in five minutes, the afflicted will be light headed, unconscious after ten minutes, and dead by fifteen minutes. Metal chains denote that you have left the area approved of for this battle, and contestants may come from either side they choose.

This was it today was the day of the competition. He had awoken a few hours before the start of the tournament. He was extremely excited for this spectacle of a show to get under way. He wondered who would be there cheering and supporting him. Perhaps his new friend gen or perhaps Hitomi. He blushed at the thought of a girl cheering him on. His heart beat a little faster at the thought of Hitomi. He shook his head and rubbed his face with his hands. Could he have gotten a crush on her from just that one meeting. He gulped nervously and got out of his bed and took a cold shower to get his head on straight. He grit his teeth as the cold water woke him up and seemed to get his head on straight and his prerogatives in order.

He showered quickly not wishing to be within the cold water for long after all he didn't want to catch a cold. He would emerge from his bathroom his hair dry and move towards his closet. he was going to put on something more presentable today after all its not every day you get a chance to fight to become your villages leader. He grabbed his white shirt and black vest and black pants and put them on. He buttoned his gold buttons on his vest each inscribed with the senju clans symbol. Finally he got out his white trench coat and slid it on. Upon the nape of the neck also held the senju's clan symbol. He was going to make his clan proud today by becoming the first hokage. He already had a battle plan formulated within his head. He grabbed his ninja tools and put them in his bag. He had stocked up on items just to be careful. He was going to go all out but he would not kill.

He would meditate within his families living room facing a picture of his mother. He couldn't help but feel a sense of regret not being able to share the historical moment with his mother. Luckily he still had his father and he knew in his heart his mother was watching over him. He nearly lost track of time until he felt a hand upon his shoulder and he broke his trance and looked up. His father looked down on him and smiled and spoke "It's time son. I am very proud of you today know that win or lose I will always love you and so will your mother." Neah choked up a bit and wiped a tear from his eye and got up and hugged his dad "thanks dad." He broke up the hug and headed out the door and would go tot he fights site in the forest of death. He was going to be moving at him maximum speed and would get to his destination shortly. But while he was moving though he weaved a few hand seals and created a shadow clone and used the Dustless Bewildering Cover technique and faded from sight and moved behind his clone.

He was going to play smart for now and watch his opponent. His clone checked in for him and he remained silent ans he followed behind the clone as it was given instructions to go to either entrance.His clone had chosen to go to the east exit and would walk slowly towards it. Their minds synchronized as they felt the thrill of the oncoming battle and the prospect of becoming the leader of the leaf. Soon he and his clone arrived but there was no stair case only trees. both Neah's smirked and descended down the trees with great ease the doors behind him locking as they made there way into the arena. the clone would watch the western entrance while the real Neah would stay about twenty meters away from his clone along the sidelong of the fight not making a noise or sound waiting for the fight to begin.

Makoto had woken up later today as usual. Not much of a rush seeing that he had the battle today to fight for the ‘Hokage’ or leader of Konoha. He took a rather quick shower so he could have some time for breakfast, it always prepared him right for the day. He got out the shower and put some tea on for boil so that when he got dressed it would be ready. ‘I wonder who im fighting.’ Makoto thought to himself as he dried up and began to get dressed. Today he wore a white T shirt with some tight pants and his boots. Nothing really flashy but more or so comfortable for him.

He came out his room and got some tea, vanilla chai tea to be exact, his favorite. Makoto had a couple of rice cakes before he got up to leave for the contest. ‘I know my parents are gonna be their but who else? Wait.. it’s a battle for the leader of the village. Of course everyone was going to be there’ Makoto thought. He soon was right in front of the area. He walked down to the west entrance and saw he had to use trees to get down. That was no problem for Makoto he did this everyday with ease.

After getting down from the trees he waited for the fight to begin. He looked at the dirt. Just like soil, I guess it had to be to keep all these trees living. He pinched some to smelled it and looked at it. He then took 3 steps forward. Seems it makes footsteps in the dirt. He then dusted his steps up. ‘The key to this win is stealth’ Makoto thought seeing that he had no stealth jutsu. He was gonna have to try his best. With a white shirt and white pale skin and a turquoise streak. He was going to have to get dirty. Makoto ripped his white 2 shirt off into 2 then through them on 2 separate trees. He looked to the far right and saw a little puddle of water. He carefully moved the water with his hands onto some dirt. He then rolled his upper body into the mud. Now for the streak in his hair, he simply put mud in it to camouflage it in. Makoto looked at himself as he looked pretty camo to him. He then went back over and dusted his track from the starting point to the puddle. The only steps he would leave were the starting steps to hop into a nearby tree. Keeping lookout.

It was a mulled over topic since yesterday of her even coming here. She wasn't hoping or even intending to enter period, but she did have someone in mind to go in the running. Perhaps they could drive the village in a better direction, at least considering she trusts them personally. It took a while for her to get even the motivation to get up, considering she'd have to spend the day around strangers from who knows where. But she has to make sure she'd know who the leader was, and why or how they got to be so. A true leader isn't just strong or smart but also cautious and caring. With that said she was about to leave the house before her mother stopped her. She needed someone to test an outfit on and Hitomi being her only daughter had to comply. With that however her mother seemed happy and lead her off to the competition where Hitomi had been thoroughly embarrassed by now, but she didn't want to disrespect her family.

There she saw two competitors and stood by looking at them curiously. She couldn't tell from the both of them quite yet however it did become apparent that she was feeling a bit cold from the outfit. Maybe she should have worn a jacket or shorts, but this was what her mother insisted and if it's from her mom then why should she complain. It was a green and yellow silken outfit similar to a cheering style. Her style of hair was different too as she had a single ponytail being held back. She still waved over to the competitors, waiting for it to begin.

The box was high up. First class. Expensive. The Senju clan spared no expenses in setting up fights of high calibers and in setting up well to do seating for the members of the clan. Gen was a member and, as such, had some exclusive access to a box which he demanded for his own. Catering was provided with a whole array of fancy dishes and cocktails of a multicolored array that dizzied any viewers. The whole place was a gaudy affair of black and silver run through with red silk trimming all of the seats and waiter’s ties. Curiously, no Senju, other than Yogensha, stood there when the booth opened. Only him, the wait staff, and a large, elegantly furnished sign of black lacquer with rich, red writing.

Welcome. Come one and all. Drinks on the house. Place your bets within.

Yogensha waited inside for the other members of the village, all of whom should have received a richly engraved card of stiff, black paper inviting them here, to this very booth. He strolled about, schmoozing with some of the local business owners and chatting up a few of the ladies from the town. In only a few moments, he the fight would begin, something which he would be commentating on in a play-by-play fashion for the listening enjoyment of all those in attendance. A modest cover charge of one hundred ryo would grant access to the exclusive booth, free food, drinks, prime seating, and the melodious sounds of Gen’s commentary.

A small booth also allowed for bets to be placed from members of the local community. Neah, a fellow Senju, was most favored and would net a one hundred and twenty percent return on victory. Makoto, the local underdog, would net one hundred and forty percent return should he win.

And so the stately affair would begin as the guests took their seats, chatter filling the booth as more bodies entered, paid fees and ordered a plethora of dishes. Eventually, as the gladiators entered the ring, the whole of the eyes of the crowd would turn to focus, and Gen would begin to speak.

The clone waved his hand up at the crowd and smirked happily. He and the original Neah blinked stupidly for a moment as a man entered the ring and began to roll around in the dirt. The clone aimed his hands and opened his mouth and thought to himself. 'to easy!' He required no hand seals and would activate it happily while the man was busy rolling around in the mud. He used the jutsu twice and as thousands upon thousands upon thousands of snakes shot out and moved in the direction of the man. they would mass into a tidal wave formation each hissing in unison as they charged towards the man in the mud. he was a fool for taking his time to cover himself in mud. it would not take his snakes very long to get to him only a few seconds with there highly developed speed. But his snakes were massed out like that of a tidal wave almost giving him no quarter to retreat.

The clone licked his lips as he finished expelling the last of the snakes. He rubbed his watering eye and chuckled. venom ran down the snakes mouths as they surged upwards and would crash about the ground like a wave from the ocean moving in unison. There were twenty thousand serpents that the clone had summoned. He was going to end this fight as quickly as possible He did not relish to make this a long battle nor resort to having to use him ultimate technique. he could not afford to waist the chakra not to mention he would destroy the arena and put the spectators in jeopardy. The serpents with there highly developed sense of smell would not lose there prey even if he covered himself in mud they could still be able to sense his body heat. The snakes hissed and charged at the young man following him and closing the gap trying to entrap him with there sheer numbers. The real neah would however remain cloaked with his dustless bewildering jutsu as he watched and waited for a most opportune moment to strike.

The fight began with a cheer from a crowd and a bewildered look from one of the contestants, Neah.

”It looks like we have a showboater on our hands here. That right there is Neah Senju, a distant cousin of my own – no relation by birth I assure you all – throwing his hands about in a fantastic motion. Would you look at the look in his eyes! A showboater and a total new comer to the ring! Fantastic, friends, just fantastic. Well hopefully he does not wet himself and is able to put up a decent fight against Ma-“ The man paused, white suit stock still and 50’s microphone glued momentarily to his stunned lips.

”Sorry there you fine people but I honestly could not believe my eyes and I bet you cannot either. It appears that Makoto has succumbed to the wild and has – I can’t make this stuff up folks – torn his shirt asunder only to begin rolling around in the mud. Oh and there he goes, smearing up that nice hair. What a dirty boy, eh ladies? What a dirty boy.

Thankfully Neah, in classic style, seems to have almost no idea. I think he’s torn between amazement at the crowd’s cheering and the sheer reality of his current predicament in which he has found himself. I don’t know about you fine folks but if I were in the ring with Makoto right now, well let’s just say I may not take my eyes off of him. Who knows what kind of craziness that blood fiend could get up to while Neah is busy gawking at his adoring fans?” Another paused ensued, this one accompanied by Gen’s turning to the crowd and giving them a sad little face. ”Well I myself wouldn’t have the heart to tell him that the riffraff he’s appealing here would just as soon see his brains smeared across the pavement.”

A man entered then and placed a bet upon Neah. His father, by the looks, name, and affectionate intonation with which he placed the bet.

”And it looks like we have a bet on Neah! One thousand ryo from the boy’s father! Thank you Mr. Neah Senju, thank you very much! And folks don’t look away now don’t avert your gaze I think Neah has just vomited up about 20.000 serpents just for you fine viewing pleasure! Don’t forget, it’s not too late to place those bets!"

As Makoto is bathing he sees motion out the corner of his eye. He quickly gets up and wipes the mud from his eyes seeing that they are snakes. Makoto begins to quickly think. ‘If I use a water ninjutsu it wouldn’t work simply because snakes can swim, they will only drown of exhaustion which takes to long for this fight. Hiding in trees won’t work for simple reasons of them being able to climb. Ahh I know just the thing.’ Makoto quickly does some hand seals. First off he does a clone seal creating black blood clone. One of the more difficult Kuroi Oni clan jutsu. Within half a second its there. Together both the clone and the real Makoto do their own separate seals. Makoto doing Lightning Release: Spider Web. Dog-Dragon-Rat-Ram. It quickly expands as the snakes are around 15 meters away. The clone does its own seal as Makoto does his doing Makoto’s personal favorite water jutsu Water Release: Exploding Water Collide Wave. Snake the only seal it consists of as the user opens its mouth and a gush of water flows aimed at the lightning jutsu. This expands the move by 15 meters making the overall total of 25 meters also making the lightning rage up electrocuting anything in the vicinity of the jutsu other than the users.

She watched the match begin quickly as she seemed surprised for a moment, if not shocked by the loud voice nearby. She scooted off to a quieter corner to watch the fight in a calmer setting as she noticed the two come forward with attacks. She could barely hear the announcer call out their moves as Hitomi took a moment to think on it. She then noticed the one she talked to yesterday had a lot more focus than she thought of, even she felt a bit scared with snakes being poured out of someone's mouth. But then again she had to remember there are worse techniques than that, it was just disturbing to a mental ideal. With that said she continued to watch still and in some way she lifted her fist to her chest as if to give off a small cheer with a bit of a smile. After all someone she knew and trusted being the winner in this would be amazing.

As the fight carried on the opponent spread out some sort of water towards the snakes and intended to shock them to death, she watched this and paused for a moment thinking on it. "He's taking a forward attack..." She spoke out rethinking things over. "I see..." She took a moment to turn to the loud person nearby before recognizing him from yesterday as well. She felt a bit awkward about it but she did walk over and shakingly hand over around 100 ryo, this adding up with the entrance as a spectator fee added up to 200, boy would her mother not be proud. But she wasn't betting to just get money, but in some way be supportive towards her new friend. She had asked the one taking bets to please not tell of her bet to anyone before going back to her corner to watch the fight silently.

”Ah and what a fine fight we have starting up for you today folks, let me tell you. What more could your money ask for that this once in a life time opportunity to see which of these two little crazies will soon be in charge of you and this whole country?“ That earned a frown from Neah’s father and some impolite sniggering from the wealthier members in attendance. ”But we’re just here for some fun and games, some sport, and I jest, eh Mr. Senju?” He winked good naturedly before continuing.

”And thank heaven’s Makoto has decided to stop his mud romping because he’s got a wall of nasty snakes looking to eat him right up and I don’t think they are down for wrestling. Also folks, please tell me you all saw Neah lick his lips after that upchuck of serpents. If not, I regret to inform you that you, sir or madam, have missed out. G-ross!”

Oh but an interesting development we’ve got here now, it seems that Makoto has starting bleeding an inky substance from himself and fashioned from it a clone. Perhaps he’ll distract those slithering reptiles with some topless mud wrestling between him and his self. A collection of hand signs has been thrown down by the original and, yes! There you have it folk’s the boy’s trademark lighting technique, this time in the form of a web, though not one that looks in the business of stopping this onslaught – WAIT I may have spoken too soon the clone has decided to match Neah’s repulsive snake vomit with a tidal wave of bile of his own. I’ll tell you again my friends, I could not. Make. This. Stuff. Up.”

He spun momentarily from the mic, a small earpiece signaling that another bet had been made. Hitome, it seemed had made it. How nice of her to join them and to bet on her friend. His lips returned to the ribbed metal of the microphone. ”And we have another bet for that snake-filled Senju Neah! Come now come now friends, you’re all too safe. Those big bank accounts aren’t made for sitting around and collecting dust. Take a look at that Makoto’s ingenuity! Oh, and ladies – or men – I hear he’s both single and likes to get physical, and I don’t mean in the nice sort of way. All that extra blood isn’t just for show, eh?.”

The clone watched as his snakes were hit with a water style ninjutsu and then a lightning style jutsu. He watched as they hissed out in pain and fell to the ground and disappeared. He was not going to let their sacrifice be for nothing. The real Neah would move silently not leaving any footprints as he moved along the side keeping clear of the water and mud. He would head for Makoto himself and then end his jutsu and strike. While his clone reached into his back tool bag and grabbed a few smoke bombs. He was somewhat more irritated now after watching his snakes were killed. This man was skilled he would admit that but now was the time for him to go on the offensive once again. The clone threw down the smoke bombs before him obstructing his opponents view while the hidden real Neah would be safely out of the smoke.

The clone smirked and sunk into the ground and closed up the hole he had made and would move towards his opponent. He would be able to sense his location with ease as he drilled through the earth below leaving no discernible path or hint of what he was doing. The real Neah would arrive behind Makoto but he kept his distance and stayed a few meters away from him just to be safe but kept him well within striking range of his jutsus. The clone would burrow beneath the ring and would come up below Makoto and attempt to grab him by his ankles and pull him into the earth. But he had a contingency plan should that fail. Should Makoto moved to doge the real Neah would end the jutsu and uses the many hidden striking shadow snakes and have them strike from all angles utilizing the maximum number of snakes he could shoot out. There would be twenty snakes in all there would be five on every possible angle making it nearly impossible to deflect at least in his own mind. Should the snakes be successful they would wrap around the one who had created the clone and ensnare him and sink there fangs into him injecting there venom.

”Oh and it looks like we’ve got some rather upsetting news for the boy in green our very on Neah Senju. That Makoto is a clever one eh? What did I tell you? It seems that a simple but effective combination of a water and lighting style ninjutsu gave those snakes the good ol’ one two punch. Just look that that lump of snake flesh as it vanishes in a puff of smoke I swear I can smell that sizzling serpent meat all the way form up here. But don’t let that ruin your fine appetites there ladies and gents we have much finer food for you much more refined pallets.” A small hand gesture went up, a signal, and the waiters began moving around and refilling champagne glasses for everyone.

”We may very well have an upset on our hands here folks and don’t forget that it still –yes even now – is not too late to place those bets on that strange kid with the black blood. Oh, but what do we have here? It seems that a smoke bomb has been activated. I will tell you what folks, leave it to those pesky ninja to obstruct our beautiful view of the fight but fear not ladies and gents for Yogensha shall be your eyes.” A ping went out from the man as he began to sense the people fighting. ”Ah yes I see all and it seems that Neah has tunneled down low, entering beneath the ground like a filthy little mole. Like a vermin! What tomfoolery could he be up to now? He’s tunneling with his little mole hands right up to the enemy, though which of the two he will attack we cannot yet be certain.

In any event, how will our young hero make it out of this one my find friends, how will he? He seems to prefer the defensive and I know that this battle is not going to be one with a never ending defense. That kid is going to have to throw a punch or a kunai soon if he wants to become our eternal lord an master!”

Makoto smirks at the sight of seeing the snakes hiss as they die. ‘Too simple’ Makoto thought to himself. The clone also gave a big flash smile. Before this attack they planned to switch places because as of now Neah and the spectators knew who was who. As they see Neah throw some smoke bombs, Makoto forms the ram seal to use Body Flicker. He quickly moves to a quite far from them but in sight tree but out of sight of Neah. As he is looking back he sees his clone switch places with him standing where he is. The clone looks back as it seems he moved just in time. As a hand appeared to grab him. Just as he turned around he saw Neah again this time with abunch of snakes. Out of his hand. The real Makoto smirks again as he knew his clone was done for but he also knew this was the beginning of the end. As the clone was attacked it instantly blew up into something called a blood bomb. Almost impossible to see it coming it would destroy anything within 20 meter radius. Makoto sees that the snakes were about 8 meters from the clone and the hand was about 5 meters from him in the ground. Even if they managed to get out of it, they would still be covered in Makoto’s blood. Makoto thought it was a sure hit, I guess they just have to wait and see.

She took a moment after hearing about the bet to sigh drastically. After all she did ask not to have her bet mentioned but it's not as if she could blame him. Thankfully the guy didn't point her out in the crowd. However just as she turned around a wave of snakes and water collided violently as she gasped for a moment watching the snakes writhe and hiss in pain. She took a moment to comprehend the battle, even with the announcer pretty much reciting it. With that she saw the smoke bomb cover him and cloak the field, with that she looked to the window she had neared before shaking her head and pressing her face to the glass for a moment. "no...No this isn't good..." She mentioned watching the battle and feeling on edge herself.

Worse yet though was that she couldn't do anything about it. Didn't mean she didn't want to, rather she'd be in more trouble to do so than if not. She decided to follow some suit and made a reminder to herself to buy some antiseptic and bandage rolls. One of them was going to get wounded at this rate, and this is probably the whole idea on it. Fight till you cry out for mercy, what a distasteful act. She then sighed as she pressed her hands to the window and watched as closely as she could. She was worried, of course she was worried, waiting around to watch a friend get hurt on purpose. It was horrifying to her considering her type of past. She could only hope there was more to this than a one sided blood fight.

Neahs eyes widened as the serpents dug there fangs into the wrong target as mako had seemingly escaped for the time being. he cursed and a white mass surrounded his body as the explosion took place. He transformed his entire body using the eight branches technique. He kept the heads pointed down so as to not hit the ceiling but kept the heads pointed downwards. His snake body was hit with the explosion but the real body of neah was safe inside protected. the eight headed beast hissed madly. He really didn't want to have had brought this jutsu out already. This was his trump card but with what he had going on he really had no choice but to bring it out to avoid taking the damage. His snake heads were burned slightly and bleed a bit as the real neah moved slowly about the body ever changing his position every 1 second. He would create a shadow clone inside the snake and have it take over using the eight branches technique instead of the main body. He was pissed that he had to waste so much chakra to miss the damage.

His snake body slithered and charged toward makoto going at full speed but making sure not to hit the stadiums trees where the spectators were going. He was moving at thirty eight meters per second more than ample enough amount of speed to attack with and catch up to makoto and be within striking range with any of his eight heads. He raised his head slightly and would use a side swipe attack with his middle head while the others would cover the other sides of makoto stacking up on each other in a wall formation effectively blocking off his attack and escape hopefully. However the attacking head was just a feint behind makoto with one of bottom snake heads that was facing behind makoto. The real neah emerged and once again used the mandara no jin formation and made them into a wall of snakes. Each one extending swords from there mouths moving towards makoto ready to strike and impale him with there blades.

Chakra used:25 for the srank jutsu then created a new clone to take the body of the snake allowign me to be able to attack from the snakes mouth so b rank plus divided chakra evenly once again which gives each neah 110 chakra. clone neah has 110 while real neah has 65 chakra while rclone has 110.
