Clan Ability Description: The Crystal Release {shoton} is a rare and specialized field of elemental ninjutsu that enables the user to create crystals as well as manipulate already existing crystals and crystalline structures. Using shoton allows the user to stimulate a process which will crystallize any substance around them such as water, moisture in air or the ground and turning them into weapons. The crystals are most often transparent but they can take the color of whatever the user desires. The crystals made have high melting point therefore it takes one rank higher offensive katon jutsu to destroy them.
The crystals created are naturally edgy and extremely sharp thereby granting them the ability to do damage of one rank higher than their usual rank and the crystals naturally move or form at a +10 speed. Those who possess the kekkei genkai can use jutsu one rank above what they normal can (a genin can use B rank jutsu).

All members born into this clan can have shoton as their one and only element. They cannot learn any other element and whoever that is not born into this clan but transplants the kkg would be unable to use whatever elements they previously could because the crystalline properties would dominate all other elemental properties in the body of the individual.
The crystals made possess a certain amount of base minerals therefore they are weak to the lightning element and it would take an offensive ration jutsu of one rank lower to destroy them.
The user cannot crystallize non-elemental jutsu which has to do with raw chakra and also jutsu with intangible elements like Katon and Raiton.
The crystals made have fragile properties that make them succumb to a certain frequency of sound jutsu therefore it takes one rank lower of sound jutsu to destroy them.

The story of the clan goes years back to before the shinobi villages were created. The Kals lived a very peaceful life in the outskirts of the hidden cloud village even though they had their rivals, the Dal clan. They Kal clan possessed the ability to manipulate shoton, crystals while their adversaries possessed extreme control over raw chakra. The two clans lived peacefully away from each other on the outskirts after signing a peace treaty not to cross each others borders. The founder of both clans happened to be siblings and the founder of the Kal clan was the younger brother. Their father had a huge portion of land on the village outskirts and he died before he could assign the land to any of his children so basically, the children were meant to divide the land in two and have one portion each. The older brother who founded the Dal clan refused this and said that it was his right to have the whole of the land to himself since he was the older brother. The younger brother accepted this and pitched a tent outside of their father’s land with his wife and children. The elder brother refused this again and told the younger brother to go far away from them. Once again, the humble younger brother packed up his things and left. A few months passed and the older brother wanted to expand his land so he brought his men and ordered the younger brother to leave where he was staying. The younger brother’s eldest son asked his father why he always agreed to his elder brother’s request but his father never answered him.
Years passed and the younger brother and his family settled in an area with lots of natural resources to sustain them and the clan that was forming. The clan began to hone their ability to create and manipulate crystals. The older brother heard of this land and called his clansmen together so that they would attack his younger brother and kill him once and for all. They travelled for days and finally got to their destination but unfortunately for them, the younger brother was prepared. He was done taking orders from one who was not worthy to be called his elder brother. He laid an ambush for his brother and his men as his own clansmen dealt with them but it was not over yet. The fight went on for months with nobody surviving it until the final day when the elder brother was captured and brought before the younger brother. He pleaded for his life and the younger brother let his older brother go away with it. The elder brother left but he began plotting once again. He was not going to give up yet and he started building an elite group of what was left of those who could manipulate raw chakra. When the time was ripe, he launched his attack and in the darkness, he struck. He made sure that he killed all the members of the Kal clan but he was now faced with his younger brother. The younger brother had gotten powerful ever since they met and he single handedly killed his older brother and his elite group but he sustained some injuries himself.
The Dal clan had been wiped out but the younger brother was also on the verge of death. There happened to be two survivors of the Kal clan that did not die and the younger brother told the two younglings that they should leave the village and return when the time was right to rightfully claim what is theirs. The two teens left the hidden cloud village and journeyed through the shinobi world while stopping in one village or another. They got married and bore children but still they kept on moving around the shinobi world together making sure not to leave anybody in any village. United they stood and they never exhibited their ability to make or control crystals. They kept it hidden for fear of being killed. Years passed and this small group of Kals did not exceed a maximum of five. The time was right and together, they returned to the outskirts of the hidden cloud village to build upon the land that their fathers had left for them. They had nothing to fear for now because the people that once opposed their fathers, the Dal clan members were now dead or at least that was what they heard.
