Kai could never bring herself to understand the stupid lengths one would go for their cause. It simply baffled the ten-year-old why one would think it a good idea to plant trees on the mountains of Kumogakure no Sato. It wasn’t like it rained very much up where they were and she was pretty sure that the environmentalist weren’t going to water the plants either. They had planted so many that there was a guarantee that half of them would die due to neglect thus wasting the precious trees they had planted. It was no matter though for she would be removing the trees and transporting them somewhere down the mountain at the behest of the council. None of them were particularly happy that someone had dared do something without their permission, especially something as big as planting saplings all around the village. According to them, they didn’t have the water needed to sustain the trees, but she was pretty sure that having simple Genin with Suiton water them would solve all their problems. She pondered rather or not the council had come to the same conclusion then wondered the reasons for them not coming to or going with said conclusion. Kai knew they weren’t stupid, but they were a bunch of old coots who hailed from a time without villages - their thinking is different compared to the younger generation. Either way, it didn’t matter to Kai, the child having begun the daunting task of uprooting all the trees. A cart with pots filled with dirt was pulled by one arm and every time she would dig up a sapling, she would place it into one of the empty pots. Of course, the cart got heavy pretty fast, but the ten-year-old was able to push it down the mountain. She also had enough strength to replant the trees that she had been ordered to uproot and when it she was done, she made her way back up the mountain, the blonde arriving in the village in the dead of night. 0341 | 0300 | |
