| Ikuto made his way into the hospital, after graduating two years early from the academy some considered him to be a child prodigy, but he knew he just worked hard. He liked to read and he had an insatiable hunger for knowledge that led to his rapid growth as a shinobi. Today, he was joining a new med-nin class at the hospital at the request of Ame-sensei, she said that he needed to be with more expirienced shiobi than the ones in the beginner class. Since he was up to two years younger than most students, he wasn't really welcomed with open arms. Many of the students knew he was a supposed "prodigy" and they shunned and ostracized him. After making it to the room the class was supposed to be in, he slid the door open. The teacher asked him to introduce himself, "Ikuto Miyazaki, Genin of Kirigakure, nice to meet you." he finished with a bow. After the class had gone on for around an hour they were given a short break to mingle in the courtyard and eat their lunch. AS Ikuto sat alone under the shade of a large tree, he pulled out the book he was reading on basic Fuuinjutsu. He was growing to be fascinated at the prospect of seals and wanted to know more about them. He pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and continued to read, almost paying no attention to the other students on the courtyard.

| Sliding open the door to the classroom, it was evident that the white haired shinboi was late to the hospital lecture again. The ninja hadn’t been enrolled into the class for an entire month yet and he was already showing up late on a weekly basis. He had been busy that morning struggling to break free of his Uchiha mentor’s Tsukuyomi. This was a daily routine used to train the Kaguya’s mind. Today’s failed lesson resulted in him being late to class while simultaneously disappointing his sensei. It was definitely not the teen’s day.
As quietly as possible, Soran creeped over to his seat in the back of the classroom. Fortunately, the professor didn’t seem to notice as they were too busy instructing a new student to introduce themselves to the classroom. Relaxing his cheek on the palm of his hand, the medic-in-training listed as the new student introduced themselves as Ikuto Miyazaki, Genin of Kirigakure.
Silent whispers went throughout the classroom as soon as the word Genin was uttered. This was an advanced course for Chuunin-level medics. Yet somehow, this young shinobi had managed to make his way into higher learning. There were scoffs of envy erupting under the breaths of some of the students as the Genin bowed to the classroom before taking his seat.
For the next hour the class learned about medical procedures used to get patients out of a hypnosis state. Soran listened with intent to the teacher as they spoke. Perhaps this would be the solution to the dilemma he had faced before class had started. After about an hour of note-taking, Soran was excited to try out this new medical knowledge. But he would have to wait until all his classes were finished.
During the lunch break, all of the medical students went into the misty courtyard. The white haired ninja would usually spend this time communicating with the female nurses. But today he had become intrigued by the newest addition to his class. He was curious how a Genin had made it into an advanced classroom only meant for higher-level shinobi.
Walking over to Ikuto, the Kaguya noticed he was reading a book about seals. This was a fascinating topic for a Genin to be studying independently. In order to avoid making the encounter awkward, the Chuunin decided to introduce himself to the newest addition to the medical facility.
“What’s up, Ikuto? My name is Soran.”

| Ikuto looked up, he noticed a white haired male now identified as Soran introducing himself. Ikuto could tell the boy had friendly intentions as he had yet to either mock him or ignore him like many of the other students. As Ikuto looked at the older boy he could tell that he was curious about him, and seemed to be studying him. “Hello, Soran-senpai. I hope that we get along well.” Ikuto finished with a bow, showing his respect for the older shinobi. He hoped that he could learn more or at least find a sparring partner in this new face.

| The medical student watched as the Genin stood up and addressed the Kaguya as "Soran-senpai" before taking a bow and saying that he hopes they would get along. It was obvious that this younger student needed to work on his social skills. By the way he was presenting himself it was apparent that he was either socially awkward or intimidated by the older shinobi. But either way, there was one thing that needed to be addressed before anything else:
"Yeah.... Don't call me that. Just call me is Soran." the white haired ninja specified. "There is no need to be add anything on to a pseudo-name."
Today Soran was wearing a more casual outfit. His shinobi headband was tied around his left bicep with the Kirigakure insignia inscribed in the side. A casual student set of medical scrubs sufficed as it was what everybody else was wearing. The white haired ninja just happened to wear black and pulled out his notes from class from his front pocket and unfolded it.
"I enjoy reading books too. But what I've really be interested in was today's lesson. I'm more of a Taijutsu kind of guy and I hate being placed under Genjutsu. So if I can figure out this B-Rank technique, I'll be able to break through my morning routine and get to class on time. I figured I should thank you. Because of your introduction I was able to sneak in and write my name on the sign-in sheet."
The medical ninja paused for a moment and kept analyzing the younger student as he spoke. Everything from his pasture to his attitude while he spoke. It was curious to see someone so young in an advanced class. Although, Soran managed to obtain special training at a very young age.
“So you must enjoy getting this class out of the way early on. I took everything at a steady pace whenever I was a Genin. I honestly have more fun with fighting. That was my best skill of leveling up through the Chuunin exams. But I can’t do anything whenever I feel like my mind is trapped. Want to study this sheet together so we’ll be ready whenever we have the test on it?”

| Ikuto smiled slightly at the older boy. So, it appears that his senior liked Taijutsu and being up close and personal rather than long range fighting. Ikuto liked close range as well, but more so along the lines of support. He really didn’t know many jutsu yet but from what he was learning about seals, he would be able to do some pretty amazing things. After hearing the older boy inquire about studying together, Ikuto grinned slightly and scooted over on the ground to give the older boy some room. “Sure, Soran-Senp… Soran! I am just ready to get stronger! I’m gonna participate in the next Chuunin Exams so it won’t be long before we are equals!” His voice sounded hyper and exited, making his age stand out as no matter how advanced he got he was still a hyperactive 8 year old. He looked to the other boy and began to size him up, seemingly looking deep into the boy’s soul. Looking at his posture and his facial expression on a level deeper than most genin look at anything really.

| This Genin sure seemed enthusiastic. This was a good sign that he would actually take his studies seriously. This is what Soran aspired for whenever he started medical school. While Taijutsu was fun to learn and practice, it wouldn’t lead to a wealthy career that could provide for a home. One day Soran would be on his own and would need a source of income to provide for himself.
“Okay. Awesome!” the shinobi laughed. He found it humorous that the Genin vowed to get on his level. It was actually kind of flattering. This kid didn’t know the first thing about the white haired ninja and was already wanting to be his equal. Perhaps there was more than met the eye about this youngster.
By discussing what was taught in class, Soran would see how much this little ninja really knew. Handing his notes over to the Genin, Soran began to speak his thoughts on the lesson:
“I’m not sure if you know anything about Genjutsu, but it is not a fun thing to experience. I train every day with an Uchiha possessing the Mangekyō Sharingan. He’s a tough old dude and extremely powerful. Every morning I get trapped in a Genjutsu as soon as I wake up and I am supposed to free myself before I can do anything else for the rest of the day. I need to figure out how to break out of the illusion quickly so I can handle my business like a normal person.”

| Ikuto listened intently to what his superior had to say, this truly was interesting. He had never heard of a Mangekyou Sharingan before. Not even in all of his studies on clans and the like. So he didn’t know much about that particular Doujutsu, but he had read quite a lot on Genjutsu. He didn’t know any himself, but he did know of them and many different ways to break them. “Well, I don’t know any Genjutsu, but I do know some ways to break out of them and a particular theory I have. I know you can use Genjutsu:Kai, and pain to break out of them, as well as someone else dispelling it for you. I have also been theorizing that using knowledge of medical chakra, one could use a jolt of synapse activity to stimulate the brain and break the Genjutsu, but, that’s just a theory.” He would say sounding very intrigued at the thought of Genjutsu, he never wanted any because he found that Medical Ninjutsu could do things just as easily to mess with someone’s mind and/or body, so he just put almost all of his time and effort into learning the body and how it works.

| Unfortunately this young Genin had no information on how to use Genjutsu. However, he had slight bit of knowledge on counteracting the effects of the illusion with basic Academy techniques. However, Soran only knew how to use E-Rank Ninjutsu and was unable to obtain the higher-leveled abilities. But there still seemed to be hope as he brought up what was discussed in class on how to escape using medical chakra instead.
More than one lesson could be taught this day. The Chuunin had been working on another replacement technique to replicate an academy technique. This skill was developed as a variation of the Body Flicker Technique and was accomplished by concentrating chakra throughout the body to temporarily vitalize it to move at extreme speeds. Soran called it the Quick Step.
"I will be right back. I forgot my scroll in the classroom." the white hair ninja laughed as he sprinted at high speed back into the hospital. The speed was nearly as fast as the ninjutsu, although it was slightly slower due to not using a hand seal to use the boost. It was not a perfect replica, but it was the Kaguya's first original technique.
Flickering back into the courtyard filled with mist, the swift medic handed the scroll to the younger Genin. It was a small white scroll with a seal on it inscribed by his Uchiha mentor.
"Can you teach me how to open this?" Soran asked the younger student. "I could never understand the concept of the Generic Sealing Method. Whenever I walked over here, I noticed that you were reading a book on basic Fuuinjutsu. You are obviously in an advanced class for a reason and I assume the subject matter you choose to read fascinates you as much as Taijutsu excites me. So I want to know if you would be willing to help me understand how Fuuinjutsu works so I can do it myself. If you do this for me, I can teach you how to defend yourself if anybody decides to mess with you."

| Ikuto would watch as the other boy sped off. Amazed at the speed he could move, yet wondering how the other student managed such a feat. He would then return and inquire about a scroll, wanting to know more about them than he currently did and offering a trade. “Well,” Ikuto began, “Scrolls are a lot like electrical circuits. The seal formula on the front acts as the conductor and gives your chakra a path to follow that will activate the function, or functions of the seal. In this case, putting chakra in whilst willing the scroll to SEAL an object, the scroll will activate with the command seal and will draw in the object placed on it. If you would prefer to release an object inside it, you would channel chakra in with the command, RELEASE. The scroll will then activate the release sequence, releasing the item you want, in a puff of smoke.” Ikuto would then look at the other boy, hoping he explained it in a satisfactory manner.

| Listening to the words being spoken to him, Soran did his best to focus on what he was being taught. The shinobi was told to think of seals the same way you would technology. Instead of being powered by electricity, it was through chakra. Focusing on the scroll he had handed to the other boy, Soran willed whatever object within it to emerge. Suddenly a small container about the size of an average flask emerged in a puff of smoke. The look of amazement creeped on to the white haired ninja’s face. He did it! But now he would have to see if he could put it back. Focusing his chakra together while the younger student held the scroll, Soran pushed the flash back into the scroll and sealed it. “Thank you so much!” Soran exclaimed, likely drawing the attention of any other student nearby with his excitement. Taking the scroll back and placing it back into his pocket, Soran continued to speak: “Now for my lesson… I am sure you are well aware of the medical technique where a shinobi forms one's chakra into a small, sharp blade. Well you are able to channel that even further by using it offensively as a weapon. This requires great precision to be effective in combat to make fatal cuts, but it can still effectively cut muscle tissues and tendons, rendering the target immobile.”After explaining this to the youngster, the white haired medic focused his chakra into his hands as a demonstration. But first, he managed to weave all five hand seals required to use the technique. He had spent his time as a Genin perfecting his chakra control and now it was time for him to test his own limits. Turning to the tree where the other student had been sitting under to read his book, the Chuunin cut off a branch with little to no effort by simply flicking his wrist. The Warrior’s mastery in Taijutsu made it easier for him to demonstrate the offensive tactics. Soran felt as though his debt had been paid. Knowledge in exchange for knowledge, after all. It was now time for the two to return to class. The lunch break was over and they had to finish their session on breaking the effects of Genjutsu. Taking notes and paying attention carefully, Soran finally felt confident in his ability to learn new techniques. Ikuto had helped him overcome the mental barrier keeping him from realizing his full potential as a medical shinobi. Whenever the class let out, Soran was eager to try out everything he had learned today. Before going back to his home, the white haired shinobi approached Ikuto and extended his arm for a friendly fist-bump. “Thanks for the help today. I’ll see you tomorrow for class. I’m going to go back to my house and train.”Whether or not the Genin accepted the fist-bump of their new friendship, Soran would then use his Quick Step to run to his house at high speed, leaving Ikuto behind in the dust. It was time to see if everything he had learned today would pay off. The next time his sensei placed him into a Genjutsu, Soran remembered the words of his new friend. The medical shinobi used a jolt of synapse activity to stimulate his brain and break out of the Genjutsu. With his mentor impressed and a new ability to use every morning, the Kaguya was never late to class again. Exit Topic - Jutsu Trained:
Name: Mental Restoration Rank: B Type: Medical Ninjutsu Element: N/A Range: Close Description: Medical ninja created this ability as a way to break patients and/or themselves out of Genjutsu. It is a technique that shinobi can use on themselves or anybody that they are touching. This is accomplished by disrupting the victim's chakra flow and realigning their senses. By concentrating chakra into the parietal lobe of the brain, the recipient of this technique is able to distinguish reality from any illusion they are caught in. This is due to the parietal lobe's primary function to integrate sensory information. Once used, this technique instantly frees the mind from any Genjutsu directed towards vision, touch, or sound. (The user must pay equivalent chakra as the Genjutsu being countered)
Name: Quick Step Rank: D Type: Taijutsu Element: N/A Range: - Speed: Boosts user's Speed by 20 Description: A high-speed movement ability which allows a Taijutsu user to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. This skill was developed as a variation of the Body Flicker Technique and is accomplished by concentrating chakra throughout the body to temporarily vitalize it to move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination. (The user may not initiate an attack until the next post.)
Name: Generic Sealing Rank: D Type: Fuinjutsu Element: N/A Range: Close Description: With this technique the user is able to store a variety objects or jutsu within a scroll or other surfaces with the seal inscribed, depending on the user's skill with Fuuinjutsu. While sealing an object takes a considerable amount of concentration for those unskilled with Fuuinjutsu, unsealing an object is simple enough and can be performed on the fly so long as the symbol is accessible to the user and thus making it possible to unseal a weapon in the midst of battle. Storing jutsu requires chakra consumption 1.5x greater than the normal jutsu cost, and must be done during a battle thread. Sealing in battle, however, is not possible for those who are unskilled in Fuuinjutsu.
Name: Chakra Scalpel Rank: C Type: Medical Ninjutsu Element: N/A Range: Close Handseals: Tiger → Horse → Rabbit → Rat → Dog Description: This medical technique forms one's chakra into a small, sharp blade. This can then be used for highly accurate incisions necessary for surgeries and anatomical dissections. Unlike regular scalpels, the chakra scalpel can make cuts inside the body without actually creating an open wound, limiting the risks of an infection.
The chakra scalpel can also be used offensively, although it requires great precision to be effective. Because of this requirement, using the chakra scalpel offensively is highly unusual. In heated combat, even the greatest medical-nin won't be able to exert the precision needed to make fatal cuts, but it can still effectively cut muscle tissues and tendons, rendering the target immobile.
