In the beginning there was the Shinju, the Divine Tree that was the very creator of this world. It created everything. Water, air, soil, animals, people. Everything. It determined when the end of species would happen and when the arrival of a new one would come. It alone marked the Day of Heaven or the Year of Hell. It alone determine when life ended and when it began.
In the middle were gods, beings of intense power that were once humans but transcended into being of pure power. They are what granted us Ninshū and ultimately Ninjutsu, along with knowledge needed to control it for peace and combat.
In the end there was only us. Though we gained power and knowledge, were not gods, nor were we very powerful. Despite this, we fought, and sought out to gain more. We divided and formed our own homes. Our own territories. However, a god will rise again soon. Very soon. Will it be you?
