Kirigakure Teams & Team Captain positions

Hello Kiri,

I'm aware there are currently shortages in the availability & number of Jounin capable of leading your squads/teams. While in canon, Jounin were required to be team captains: after a discussion with Ryujin, I'm willing to allow one person(yes even a Genin) to be a Team Captain. That being said, this does not mean you get a promotion, nor are you allowed to participate in missions higher than C Rank without a higher and appropriate rank to accompany you. By becoming a Team Captain, you are assuming responsibility of your teammates & are liable for IC consequences should something negative happen. OOC this also means you must be active and promote activity, pushing your teammates to do missions, training & etc to all grow together. If you can't meet these simple requirements, then don't attempt my challenge.

I say "challenge" because though I OOC see and understand the need for more leadership in the village(since we have NO Jounin despite me trying to get my students to rank up over the last 2 months). That being said, IC is different- Rei as the Mizukage is a pragmatic person, cold and rational. he isn't going to arbitrarily instill trust/responsibility to those who haven't proven themselves. To apply for Team Captain, you must first have a group at at least 2 other PC members and come to Rei IC about forming a team. Whomever is chosen as the Team Captain will have to answer a few questions and fight Rei in a serious but non-lethal or maiming spar to test their combat potential. Understand you are likely to get your butt served to you on a silver platter with celery & sour cream dip, so don't get butt-hurt if you can't win. The purpose is to test your abilities to lead as well as fight, not beat your Mizukage. I promise you, if you get butt-hurt or are unrealistic, I will be so brutal as your Mizukage in the fight, you will have no chance of winning at all, nor will the Mizukage allow you to be a Team Captain. Lastly, should you pass Rei's test, you will be required to be the Team Captain for that team until each and every one of you are at least Chuunin and at the maximum of Jounin.
